parties/crowds/strangers aren't really my bag, and this is the first NYE with my bf in person, so quiet night at home with $8 bottle of wine. and lots of food. pretty much perfect.

i would like to see fireworks somewhere, but that would involve leaving the house.

in the spirit of having 'buy nothing day' on the day with the sweetest deals of the year how come temperance folks don't make NYE 'don't be drinking' day. questions

waiting for my girlfriend to get off work so I can go back to her place and fall asleep by 12:05

I was thinkin' about splurging for some fancy 15-dollar beer I've been wanting to try, but honestly at this point I think I'd be too tired to enjoy it

You know, from hide-and-seek to an epileptic Dick Clark, I really hate it when people count backwards. That LBJ pickin'-daisies commercial even annoys me.

I'm so set to go out on NYE, but it's more of a Pavlovian thing. Everybody I want to see is right here in the house with me. Those halycon days of standing in a crowded punk house, counting backwards 12 times because no one's watch is synchronized, and drinking some awful champagne may have been fun at the time, but I really, really don't miss it.
