"The Hamptons"

Anyone watch this thing last night? I must say I was intrigued, but very aggravated the entire time. I'm really glad I have intrest in ever going to the Hamptons, plus if I went I'm not on the Hamptons list as its called so I'd have trouble getting into places. What a bunch of snobs...I seriously wanted to hurt them all. Especially the troll who walked around the entire show peddling his flavored oxygen to women. This simp walked around hitting on everything that moved and doing shots. I swear if you were breathing he would have hit on you...and then did a shot to celebrate his new back hair he grew on the Hamptons.

Wow Mike, that's right. You should write a song with that title. There is no one left in NYC for the summer, thank god.

Imagine any reality tv show only with rich people and people who want to be rich or people who like rich people.

Noodles, it's the area on Long Island where rich NYC-ers go to "summer."

nickn, Tuesday, 4 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-one years ago) link

O, like in the Great Gatsby? I had this niave impression that Long Island was pretty packed, figured the rich went somewhere warmer, like fucking Hawaii to get a tan on their bum.

Imagine The Great Gatsby only without one of the master prose stylists of the twentieth century.

Then again, don't.

I think one of the better articles in Spin (nonmusic of course) was about watching Martha Stewart and commenting on how she would look in leather. Second only to their food collumns look on cheap wine. Now I know my Thunderbird from my Ripple.
