STEENDRIVING AMERICA--A Hoos Hits the Road

Hey guys.

I'm gonna try to take a bunch of road trips in the next year. This fall I'm driving up to Nebraska, definitely gotta make the time to head out to the Northwest perhaps later this fall. This winter I'm gonna try to make it up to Cleaveland. In the Spring I wanna head to Quebec. I'd love to stop for a beer with any ILXors on the way.

I'm hoping I can use this thread for sightsteening recommendations (this was a typo but I'm keeping it), route/further trip suggestions, FAP planning, photo postings, and the like. So.

First thing on the immediate agenda atm is a trip to Omaha for a Gaslight Anthem show, though if I can convince the boss to grant the time off in August I might roll out to NM first to catch a neon cross purportedly out there somewhere and perhaps catch 1 beer with Abbott iirc

why cleveland in the winter hoos?

if you make it to the frozen wastelands of MN i will have several beers w/ a hoos

Cause it's Quebec or Cleaveland in the winter and I'm hoping it'll be a lil more tolerable. As to why Cleaveland, I'm reading American Splendor and I thought "hmm this city looks pretty." xp

And jj I've got all kinds of fam up in MN so the odds are in fact quite good tbh!

I want to do this kind of thing really really bad. I just bought a copy of the new Jane & Michael Stern book and want to eat my way through N. America.

i thought the Cleave love might have been inspired by 30 rock.

boston would be a bit of a detour depending on yr route but with the distance you're already going i felt i should throw down some hospitality.

So a HOOS was supposed to drive to Nebraska this weekend, but a HOOS decided to have a three day weekend in with the girl instead. Trips forthcoming!
