Revisiting the classic Onion Point:Counterpoint, which one would you want to hug?

My money is on Shambles the Puppy.

i can only decide if there are PICTURES, y'all!

sadly the Onion took down the article - it must have been too controversial.

Fuzzy the Duckling displayed a worrying tendency to base his hug- claim on negative comments about Shambles the Puppy, accusing him of being a likely leaving little poopies on the floor or pissing everywhere in his excitement. Shambles the Puppy refutes these claims.

The Onion is not intended for readers under 18 years of age.

This disclaimer appears at the bottom of the page. Presumably, poop and pee jokes are not suitable for an impressionable audience of 15 year olds.

why is no one posting on this thread?

Because, as Clancy Brown once observed, there can be only one.

And it is Shambles.

nine months pass...
Having helped some ducklings to cross the road the other day, I am very struck now by their cuteness. However, they are a bit on the fragile side and I would worry about injuring young Fuzzy were I to hug him.

DV (dirtyvicar), Friday, 16 June 2006 22:20 (twenty years ago)

have they followed you to the vicarage?

youn (youn), Friday, 16 June 2006 22:25 (twenty years ago)

No, they made their way to the pond in Stephen's Green.

On my 18th birthday I decided to be all twee and feed the ducks by the river to celebrate. I was noting to my buddy how they hated people and would run out of your way if you got near them. To demonstrate, I pretended to kick a nearby mallard, but it must not have been listening to me. Rather than running away, I successfully kicked it into the river. Now being around ducks just makes me feel like a boor.
