Sebastian Hawsley - Classic or Dud?

Jesus did it to save our immortal souls so that we may live on after our deaths in heaven, or something.

Mr Hawsley did it in the name of art. And fell off the cross halfway through and fainted with pain. The wimp.

Who had the best reason? Who's cooler? Should either of them have really bothered with the whole being-nailed-to-a-cross thing?

Or, perhaps more intelligently, is Mr Hawsley's artistic statement an affront to the whole of Chrisitanity, or is it a worthwhile endeavour? Does it prove the bravery of Christ or merely cement the stupidity of man?

Just in case people don't know, Sebastian Hawsley crucified himself so he could experience the pain of Christ in the name of art. Only he wimped out and didn't die.

It merely cements the knwoledge that some people will do anything for a bit of publicity. I mean his paintings aren't up to much.

I doubt they're any better now he's got holes in his hands either.
