So I've been a way for a week, which I will discuss later, though the main thrust of it all appears to be that I need to get more angry, mor gay and stop getting myself involved in codepedent relationships with strong interesting women which fuck me up.

But what I really want to know is what have you bee doing this week? What's been happening here on SkILE, and how are you all dealing with things? What has been magical and desperate and painful and liberating and delicious and spermicidal for you?

Went to work, watched world cup and posted in ILE/ILM (which is what i do every fucking week, which means I should get a life!).

This week...hmmmm...well last sunday I saw Spider-man. Everyday I vowed to stop using ILE at work, everyday I failed miserably. I watched football. I put loads of songs onto my computer for making mix CDs with. I finished reading Dance Dance Dance. That was it for me really.

This week? I watched mucho footie (usually with Spanish commentary), hung out with mates, met a member of the band "And You Will Know Them By The Trail Of Dead", and tried to get in to a sold-out Doves/Elbow show.

Starting tomorrow the week should get more interesting: Sunday, I attend the seminar concerning my mum's kidney transplant (there will more on that, soon). Tuesday, I become a grand lady of 28.

While we were apart, Geoff...I was human too.

Also, it was my birthday but I didn't have a party this year. Instead I made three separate groups of friends take me out to dinner. Very crafty.

Got back off holiday, discovered work had gone bonkers, saw my ex-editor and his new wife on Wednesday, met my friend Kate's new boyfriend on Thursday, watched world cup, drank best part of a bottle of brandy last night and I am feeling the pain, bought a reggae CD and a Sleater Kinney CD and a few second hand books and some violet Urban Decay eyeshadow with gold bits in. Nothing transcendental. Or even that interesting.

Anna, Sunday, 23 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

hey all thanxs for the welcome back and happy birthday to you all, even if it wasn't.

the thrust of my learning experiences suggest that sitting with my pain is good, and doing it in the current physical environment where I am medicated and have a good social netowrk, is a great chance to learn and explore it, rather than run from it. It's going ok so far, painful as you would imagine, but I have my interview with the commonwealth doctor to see if I am able to get a disability payment next week, which means i should be in good form.

other than than, i have bought much books and cds and things, and have realised that even being a surrogate uncle of children is very difficult indeed.
