I'm wearing this blue polo shirt for almost three weeks now day by day!

It does not seem to be a special shirt (I like the colours and the shape though), it's like a mx between laziness and fetish.

Btw, ppl still like to sit next to me at lunch, so don't worry.

What is your record in non-changing clothes?

I once wore the same pair of jeans for 3 weeks straight

i've worn the same pants for anything up to 2 weeks. i'd wash them if they got anything spilled on them though

I only have one pair of kecks. I tend to wear them for a few weeks at a stretch. It's a bit of a hassle putting them in the wash as then I have to go commando.

hamish beats the pants off everyone so far (by a long long period of time).

I'm currently in the midst of a "it's a Mickey Mouse thing, you wouldn't understand" phase where I'm constantly wearing the same pair of clothes (for what now seems to be an eternity) in a effort to establish and furthermore, reinforce my character.

puny humans, last year i wore one pair of jeans for a whole year. I had to buy new ones after I tore the crotch stretching for a ball in the park and had to subsequently make my way home with my bolloXors hanging out basically.

To measure pain today I didn't do the lemon test, because, as a bunch of people pointed out, the citric acid from the juice might kill the precious bacteria.

its great reading, sarah, though i'm not sure abt the pictures.

I can wear just about any article of clothing for days, with the exception of socks.

Keep the socks and boxers fresh, and I can go for weeks.

And slightly related...

How many of you have different piles of varying degrees of "dirty" clothes? I think I've got at least 4: fresh, almost-fresh, smells-like-cat-pee, and only-if-it's-an-emergency.

I tend to put my clothes in the dirty clothes basket when necessary. But I also take them back out sometimes for emergency wear. I look all around first to make sure no one sees me recycling them, so it's ok. But never undies. Mostly just my jeans.

Another prompt to quote some favourite lines from Kris Kristofferson's Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down (you need the Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash versions):

I woke up Sunday morning with no way to hold my head that it didn't hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad, so I had one more for dessert
Then I stumbled to my closet for my clothes and found my cleanest dirty shirt...

I'm inconsistent: clean socks and pants every day, wear a t-shirt a couple of times, a white shirt to work once, but jeans or a suit can go a few weeks.

depends on how cold it is.

g.cannon (gcannon), Friday, 3 January 2003 22:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Socks and underwear are NOT recyclable items! Everything else is fair game. I almost never wash jeans and pants, unless I have to.

Ally (mlescaut), Sunday, 5 January 2003 01:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Everything else is fair game.

Not in my book it isn't. I find things start to smell after more than a day (jeans maybe up to a week). Maybe only close up but, still, I can smell it. Then again maybe I'm just a foul, smelly person who soils his clothes quicker than most.

David (David), Sunday, 5 January 2003 01:36 (twenty-three years ago)

I am sitting here in soiled clothes and I feel ill. I have had these jeans for 12 or 13 years.

Ewww, you people are all gross! I very rarely wear anything twice, sometimes jeans, it's probably coz I have eczema and it's kinda hard to keep stuff looking clean (don't ask for the details, you don't wanna think about it)

smee (smee), Monday, 6 January 2003 14:45 (twenty-three years ago)

Do you have to buy new clothes all the time then?
