Trig Brother II Question 1: Do you like Hitler?

This question was asked by Graham after the initial public vote of Carsmile Steve to leave the group. The pub was the Spice Of Life, Cambridge Circus. The barmaid there was initially bemused and then thought the game seemed rather cool.

No-one was evicted as a direct result of this question instead tracks were made to pub II.

But how would you have answered this?

The responses of the actual participants will be put up here when I get back home and find my notebooks.

Blimey, I wish you had haxx0red this question, I ph34r future Googlers...

Sarah, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I wasn't going to play because this was the best question I had, but then Carsmile (I think) forced me to. And it was Ned's idea (but he only meant it as a joke).

Graham, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Well I thought he was kinda cute because he's got these beautiful blue eyes. And he seems to know a lot of things and paints too, so you know, we'd sometimes we passed notes in studyhall. He'd ask me if I liked to dance and I said yes of course I like to dance, and then he asked me if I liked kissing and I said yes I liked kissing, and he asked me if he liked the master race and I said I didn't know what the master race was and then, I dunno, he just like totally blew me off. Then two weeks later that BITCH Eva Braun lied to THE WHOLE SCHOOL saying that we made out under bleachers after football practice and I could've like died, DIED from the embarrassment. I can look back now at it and laugh because that was two years ago and I was so naive about so many things back then. I thought he would be different, but he really hurt me. I know this is gonna sound like I'm really really mental but I still try to stay away from him whenever I can. We just completely ignore each other in the hallways. A month ago I was gonna buy this book by Geothe at the mall because I needed it for my lit class and he was right there in the store and I kinda just ran off and I made MY MOM run in and get it for me!

And it was Ned's idea (but he only meant it as a joke).

Rather! I hadn't realized you were that honestly bereft of question ideas there!

Ned Raggett, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned, you'll discover how low on inspiration some of us were! hehe!

*cue dramatic Star Trek:TOS music*

Dan Perry, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Don't like his hairstyle, or his 'tache, and he seems to bellow a lot (does a recording of him exist just conversing normally?)... so all in all I don't think I do.

Jeff W, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I liked him before he sold out.

bnw, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

If you don't like Hitler YOU DON'T LIKE FUN.

Dom Passantino, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Are we not going to talk about the utter brilliance of Mike's response more?

Ned Raggett, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

yes! Mike has won this thread!!!

jel --, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Didn't anyone like my Marilyn Manson reference? (The correct answer is "No".)

Dan Perry, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

we are all too tw33 to get marilyn manson references! :)

jel --, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I remember a documentary about the National Front back in the '70s where a skinhead said "He had the right idea about a lot of things. He might have gone a bit far in some ways..." I was dead impressed with that "might".

I was also impressed that he thought tall, strong, blond Germans were the superior beings, especially if they were short, weedy, dark Austrians.

Martin Skidmore, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Didn't anyone like my Marilyn Manson reference? (The correct answer is "No".)

I was moving on a higher plane at the time I was reading that.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 15 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Y'know, I like Hitler documentaries.

Graham, Wednesday, 24 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

last week's interruption came just as Tom was going to post his extensive notes on trigbruv.

Alan T, Wednesday, 24 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I was trying to be subtle alan. You'll probably just make Davina sulk now.

Graham, Wednesday, 24 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

And then they lez up

auto-post, Wednesday, 24 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i'm sure i've heard someone express that "he might've gone a bit too far in some depts" sentiment in real life, i don't think it was on a TV documentary.

unknown or illegal user, Wednesday, 24 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I was half watching C5's thing about Broadmoor last night (and half painting my toenails, ph34r my multitasking ways) and they were banging on about how 1 patient / inmate had covered their walls with pics of Hitler & swastikas & then went on to 'put this into practice' (cannot remember the exact words but it was along these lines) as if he had invaded Poland & exterminated several million Jews + gypsies + assorted other groups he wasn't fond of. In fact he'd only killed about 1 person (OK this is 1 too many but still, hardly bears comparison to Hitler!).

Emma, Wednesday, 24 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

well it's a start

unknown or illegal user, Wednesday, 24 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

there was this guy i vaguely sort of knew who got into doing glass paintings of hitler when he was in prison. he said he wasn't really much of a fan of hitler but he just found him a good subject for glass paintings.

unknown or illegal user, Wednesday, 24 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Duane's "well it's a start" post has just made me splurt kiwi strawberry Snapple all over my keyboard. I was still giggling from "that bitch Eva Braun", my resistance was low.

Anna, Wednesday, 24 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

GET ON WITH IT TOM.
