When was the last time that you laughed at something so much you cried? Mine was over nothing more than a comedy film - Meet The Parents. What I imagined to be a pretty mediocre film turned out to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Makes me laugh even now when i think of certain lines from it!!

The best line has to be 'I've got nipples Focker, could u milk me?'

The missus makes me weep with mirth frequently, but I don't think the immense comic impact of these incidents would translate very well in print.

Armando Ianucci's show last year on C4 was patchy but had some *fantastic* oh-please-pause-the-video-I-can't-breathe moments. I loved the dead dancing in heaven sequence. Was this repeated?

my friends tend to make me laugh far more than anyone on tv ever does, usually on a night in with many beers.

Excellent - laughing out loud again! Superb film!

The only time I have wept with laughter in front of the telly was watching Rory Bremner being Ainsley Harriot with big googly eyes and chopping his fingers off and then climbing in a mincer and mincing his entire body. He just piled more and more violence into the sketch until that was the only logical thing to do. Actually that's the only time I've laughed at Rory Bremner AT ALL.

Ive been laughing till tears formed-though didnt run- reading some of the wack stuff on this board in the last 10 minutes. Id be more specific but noone likes a kissasss. I love you guys and I have sensitive tear ducts. A stiff breeze will get my peepers weeping, as will singing very quietly.

Its slightly embarry.

jeskam, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

No go on, be specific!!

for some reason I laugh uncontrollably at the killer in Silence of the Lambs when he does his little tranny dance to "Goodbye Horses". "would you fuck me, i'd fuck me, hard...so hard".

Chris, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I just actually died laughing at this email I got with loads of limericks about the Big Brother housemates. I never read forwards normally and I read the first line of this and then gradually ended up laughing alot. Perhaps I should read forwards more. Will I post the limericks?

You know, I can't remember! How depressing.

The last time I laughed so much that I cried was at a TV show I downloaded from the net - Peter Cook & Co., originally broadcast over twenty years ago - there's this sketch called "Outtakes of History", all about the idea of the newsreel footage of Neville Chamberlin's "I have in my hand a piece of paper" speech having bloopers. For days afterwards I just had to think of it and I would start giggling like a mentalist. It's available for download at http://www.stuff.perooz.com - either as part of the whole programme or on a seperate clip on its own. I really urge you all to get that clip, it's about 13 meg but is worth it.

Ah, thanks VERY much for that site recommendation! You're right, the sketch was a worthy one. :-)
