DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE TIME TO EAT AT THE RECEPTION. It's very easy to neglect yourself while runing around greeting people, dancing, etc. Try to stop every 10-15 minutes and chow on some food.

Oh, and there was another wedding reception in another part of the hall I had my wedding at, and some woman from the other wedding was out in the lobby with her MONKEY that she had dressed like an infant. This frightened me and disturbed me.

Congratulations! Two pieces of advice that people gave me before I got married a year ago, and that served me really well:

1) Don't sweat ANYTHING. Everyone will have a good time no matter what happens, and if you walk out of there married, you've done your entire job for the day.

2) Tell the caterers to prepare a little plate of food & drinks for the two of you during the ceremony and leave it in a small room with a closeable door. Immediately after you are pronounced married, disappear for five or ten minutes, flee with your new spouse to the room in question, and take a few moments to enjoy being together. Everybody will still be there when you get back. (In Jewish weddings, this is called "yichud," & is an essential part of the proceedings. It's a really, really, really good idea.)
