You could win some filthy lucre:

Guardian Unlimited is launching the first competition to find the best British weblog. The winner will receive a cash prize of £1,000 and five runners-up will receive £100 each.

k-blimey! I'm starting a blog!

jel --, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I bet fuXXoring T*m C**t*s will win.

RickyT, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It's unlikely any of the 'big names' will win cos Ev Williams and Jen Bolton are on the judging panel and know them i.e. it would be too obviously a stitch-up. Though that has not often stopped people I suppose.

Should I enter NYLPM?

Tom, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

YES!!

Should I enter thee ATOMMICK BRANE hur hur hur?

If T__ fuxx0ring C__t_s wins then the terrorists haf won, I'm off to a country with no web access.

Sarah, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Should I enter NYLPM?

Duh!

Why do you think I posted the question? Though I would like to see Mark or Sarah win it too, I'm so confused!

Nicole, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

whats a weblog or a blog - cos i like cash

born clippy, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

who are the big names of blogging?

can I write for NYLPM?

jel --, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

(Oh blimey soon there will be no-one NOT writing for NYLPM eh)

Can't we enter ILE as a hem-hem teamblog? Actually how are they classifying these, could say, a LJ enter? Or someone on Greymatter/usable type? If so then I don't see why we wouldn't count after all we are talking about the same kind of things that feasibly might go in blogs but in a more team atmosphere, go US!

Sarah, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Atommick Brane must win. Radio Free Narnia is also wicked good but not enuff updates I ph34r.

RickyT, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

whats a weblog?????????

born clippy, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ah, if only Tanya were writing more though. Then NYPLM would be given a run for its money. ;-)

Ned Raggett, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Tanya's writing loads at the moment but IHM isnt a blog - it's a website which uses Blogger. No links = no prize.

Tom, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I fear Crow Atak (which I love) falls foul of the no links thing *and* the no updates thing. Shame.

Tim, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i'll put narnia in if u like: what do i do?

haha i am so cutting edge i no longer read newspapers

mark s, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I am quite sad actually, if you put NYLPM into lovely kartoo search engine, it comes up with a big huge map of many places - whereas the atommick brane is quite lonely, CHIZ!

Sarah, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicole, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

This is the output of one of the judges.

RickyT, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The odds may well be against NYLPM and its enthusiastic embrace of evil multinational product.

Tom, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Wot, banana milk?

Sarah, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Tom, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh god if only I had been a second earlier on my reply.

Tom, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Tom fancies Anita Roddick SHOCKAH!

RickyT, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

And he said liking celebrities was sad, the hypocrite.

nicole, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

anita roddick: classic or dud?

katie, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

RickyT, YOU ARE MY NEW HERO.

Dan Perry, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

YES!!!!

RickyT, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Tom, Delete ILE.

Tom, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think the two Toms should post competing blogs about each other, as he is now talking to himself.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That would mean reviving Groke. As if that would happen!

Nicole, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey, if Kathleen can start updating Pearls That Are His Eyes again, anything's possible.

Dan Perry, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Is everything going to backtrack from there? Are we all going to go back to a.m.a. and deal with G**r, G*****a B*b and K*t M***o?

Ned Raggett, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Melody + complexity = the grebtest music evah. See, I have not been idle in my lurking. I have learnt the new language of ILX!

Geir Hongro, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Somehow I have my doubts.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 19 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Could someone explain who T*m C**t* is please?
