No, it doesn't happen often. In fact that's almost the first time.

Some people saw it because as I was thinking about deleting it we had a fire drill so I had to leave my PC! Apologies to Anna, Pinkpanther, Nicole etc. not getting to it sooner.

Well now I'm curious. As it happens, I have a loved one who was the survivor of an attempted gang rape, and I don't see what is so offensive about the question itself. Of course, I didn't see the thread, but it's frustrating when you hear about something without being able to judge for yourself.

That wasn't my point - my point was that people who are presumed to be offended might not be, or that even if they do find it disgusting, they would rather know and might actually need to know what was said.

I wasn't presuming anyone was offended - I was responding to several people who were offended and had said so. Everyone else who hadn't seen the thread might have found it terrifically amusing and/or thought-provoking but this is the risk you take.
