Anyone Here Understand Google?

My blog has vanished from Google, as of around Wednesday night. Now, I understand this probably means my site was down when its "spiders" were sent out to search for it. Any idea how often they search? My hits went down from 30 a day to 2 a day in 24 hours, this is bad for a man's self-esteem.

So... does anyone understand how Google works?

google gives preference to sites with a lot of links to, so start calling in favors from your webmaster friends

my blog still came up when it was down for a month but it has more than 30 hits a day. they have a thing where different machines rotate in their responsibility for having a most recent picture of the web, I think; maybe you caught that happening in such a way that you didn't show up as much as their technique would ideally have you show up.
