I heard he kept a giant penis plaster replica in his living room.

Appolinaire once asked him if it was life size.

stranger approaches him and asks "as-tu du feu ?" (do you have a light ?)

jarry sets off a pistol near the tip of his nose and sez "voila".

drinking a quart of acid to get discharged from the army was a stroke of genius too. beat that clinger !!!!!!

I love Alfred Jarry!

Was the "Ubu Roi" premiere as chaotic as documented? Or was it all exaggerated--I would love to know for sure, as I felt so wonderful when I read about it.

I've just started reading this today. Shouldn't take long, it's very short... like Alfred Jarry.
