I managed to guess the Angie's bit of the name but even my dreadful punning brain missed the obv den gag. It was horrendous. I am not sure what the club's music policy is either, I can remember Sweet Like Chocolate & Do You Really Like It but other than that it's a bit of a blur.

that's all they played, on rotation, all night.

oh, and the club's music policy is polished dream team ukg, obv.

This is what I thought too Michael but then later on in the evening it diverged from this. But I cannot remember what was played.... though it was enough to give that slapper Natalie the raging horn.

I reckon they have shot themselves in the foot with the name, I mean they used to have people chatting & saying 'you coming down E20 later?'. Who is going to say 'you coming down Angie's Den later?'? It sounds ridiculous. They will have to say 'the club' instead.

i hate the way they make Angie & Den look like they were immortal or something. As Peter Kay would say "who gives a shit!"

you're right about the name, emma. i had an argument over whether it was good or not. it's awful self-referential punnery, isn't it? can you imagine saying "are you coming to angie's tonight?". you're friend would think you were going to your mum's hairdressers or something and say "don't be daft" and you'd miss a top night of dream-team style ukg followed by chart-dance.

I heard Murder On The Dancefloor too, but then one of the twats I live with wanted to be able to hear his Bruce Springsteen in the shower, so I didn't hear much after that.
