My boss has brought his two sprogs into the office to show off (I thought only women did that kinda stuff). They've been here for ages and now he's buggered off with the cute ickle baby one and left the pint sized one for the rest of us to look after while he shows the new one to the rest of the department/floor/building/universe. Cheek!

As long as you have licence to do NO WORK while you are minding the sprog, then I don't see a problem. Unless you hate children? Is there something deeper going on here...?

I dont hate 'em, just don't go all gooey over the little darlings either.
I'm the only female around here and every time the little ...sprog wants something all the guys keep looking at me, I'm doing f~kc all.

Brats in the office = mild dud to neutral
Brats in the office disrupting work = definite dud
Brats in the office disrupting work and the males expect the female(s) to do something about the brats = super dud

total dud. offices are not suitable environments for a child (or anyone, ho, ho, ho). i'd let the kid stick its tongue in the electricity socket or pull a PC down on its head.

I may get fired/arrested for that...

why? you don't have any duty of responsibility to the child. (there is the issue of your conscience i suppose).
