In fact, having read that whole story now, perhaps it's just an overblown parody of racism/Southern race relations/whatever. In that sense, it's kind of funny.

I remember an incident in Queensland a few years ago, when a cop was captured on video at some kind of Dress To Shock Bad Taste party dressed an Aboriginal prisoner who'd recently hung himself in custody (face painted black, noose around neck, etc.) I think he was suspended from the police force, maybe? Seems a bit much, to me.

At some friends' fancy dress 18th birthday party three guys came as the Ku Klux Klan - one was Fijian, one was Maori and the other was something else non-anglo. I thought (and still think) it was hilarious.

aTelecine - the industrial / noise project of actress / porn star Sasha Grey. I've never seen her in anything, though she's in some Steven Soderbergh film and some other high profile flicks, but I must say, these records - at least the two I've heard - are fuckin' awesome.
