Student pole dancing night to tour the nation

The tone of the story seems to imply that it's only worrying because they are students. It does make it more of a story, I have to admit.

It never happened in my day, etc.

sillyness. Pole dancing does not a ho make thee. I wouldnt do it because im not a performer. The zeitgeist is loving the prostitute archetype. Oh bye Britney bye bye missin you already.
Butt, (big butts i like em i cannot lie) Ive seen some great stripping and performance in a burlesque style and its a hella more entertaining than chewing your tongue and dancing with glo-sticks or whatever it is that people do for entertainment.
Turning a great tradition into a feral promo starring apprentice boozers is not pretty, but some may find true fullfillment in the bump and grind. Wearing a top hat on your tits, thats an admirable skill!

There's probably a good article to be written on how, in the YouTube/Flickr/Twitter/Tumblr era, people who get off on public humiliation can actually be humiliated in public, rather than in fetish clubs where people have to fake astonishment at them grinding a poll while dressed like a former chargehand collecting dole.
