"first power" vs. "el-shaddai"

In a rap contest, slight lean to Eazy. In a fight, slight lean to Amy.
― Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 19 August 2007 21:22 (seventeen years ago) link
Easy never came up with a line half as good as "You like to drive like Mario Andretti."
― Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Sunday, 19 August 2007 21:25 (seventeen years ago) link
Yes, but could Amy write "uh, get it on baby (lick my ballz honey)"?
Doubtful. Eazy's a poet.
― Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 19 August 2007 21:38 (seventeen years ago) link
still Amy could show respect and tell her hardline CCM haters to step off if she'd only cover "Nutz Onya Chin"
― J0hn D., Sunday, 19 August 2007 21:39 (seventeen years ago) link
Dare to dream.
Someone should compile a long list of songs for Amy to cover to prove her hardcore street bona fides.

it grieves me to report to you all that the Amy Grant song "Simple Things" has fake scratching on it
advantage: Eazy

oh Amypaws

Isn't singing a Peter Cetera duet more likely to give you AIDS?
― Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Sunday, 19 August 2007 22:47 (seventeen years ago) link
it's all right, the next song on the album ("beautiful") is completely tearjerkingly classic (unless you hate schmatlz in which case fine that just leaves more for me)
xpost Alfred probably OTM, I will report back after I have sung a duet with Peter Cetera

LOL. From the YouTube comments accompanying Amy Grant's Every Heartbeat video:
She cheated on her husband with Vince Gill, and then dumped her husband. Don't let her fool you she is a whore.
Ergo, Amy extends her lead vs. Eazy.
― Daniel, Esq., Monday, 20 August 2007 03:38 (seventeen years ago) link
okay here is the reality, when thgis video was getting airplay, here we have amy grant on TV saying that her family Gary and the kids are deep in christian values, and at the same time she is traveling to celeb functionc with gill, IF you notice her career and vinces has pretty much tanked since that time... So i guess GOD has started passing judgement.
GOD IS MESSING UP AMY GRANT'S CAREER.

TONYNAVA213 (1 week ago) eazy is better then dre and your bitch ass mom
no amount of Death Row/Ruthless beef can stand against the truly insane rantings of the people who were pissed off that Amy Grant left her husband for Vince Gill

Amy has her supporters, too:
I like Amy Grant. She seems to follow her heart and not care what anyone thinks. The guy in this video is the same one from the "Baby Baby" video. He's a model named Jme Stein.I miss the '90s, too. But don't think all '90s music was sweet and happy. The year this came out, 1991, was also the time that grunge (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, ect.) became immensely popular.

Grunge -- perhaps doing God's will -- messed up Amy Grant's career.

"you'll never meet god if you break my heart." -- carly hennessy, from all-time worst-selling pop album ultimate high, for the upset win over both amy and eazy.
