dig snoop, but the terius hook's mad average.

jackie off the chain (k3vin k.), Wednesday, 7 October 2009 22:46 (fourteen years ago) link

i feel totally the opposite -- snoop is boring as fuck on this & its a wasted hook

terius has a verse, the bridge & "the last two choruses" on the first drake single off his actual album

So now that videos are being shot for "Sweat It Out" and "Fancy" (!!!!) does this mean that Love vs. Money: The Hangover Edition has officially been shelved? What happens to "Hit it on the Road"? Do any of us actually give a shit? (Probably not.)

MTLiens (Alex in Montreal), Thursday, 8 October 2009 18:02 (fourteen years ago) link

fancy? really?

it's arguably my favorite song on that album/one of my favorite this year but it's not a single

jackie off the chain (k3vin k.), Thursday, 8 October 2009 19:02 (fourteen years ago) link

jackie off the chain (k3vin k.), Thursday, 8 October 2009 19:08 (fourteen years ago) link

whatever though, let them have fun i guess, this shit dropped seven months ago

jackie off the chain (k3vin k.), Thursday, 8 October 2009 19:08 (fourteen years ago) link

B-b-b-but. The video treatment will be awesome. And opulent. And FANCY.

MTLiens (Alex in Montreal), Thursday, 8 October 2009 19:08 (fourteen years ago) link

Exactly. Something to entertain us, now that Love King got pushed back. Which means that R-Les wins the two-albums-in-one-yr-vanity-project award.

the radio single is "sweat it out", i'm pretty sure they're shooting a single for "fancy" just for the fun of it

there's a blap for that (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 8 October 2009 19:12 (fourteen years ago) link

btw they were supposedly shooting a video for "fancy" like a week after the album came out too so who knows

"terius has written like already almost three solid albums this year, besting just about everybody else in the world"

no argument here. although I'm quite partial to leslie's s/t, terius' 1-2-3 punch wins it, esp. if you consider that Love King and Milian's Elope are both supposedly complete and just awaiting a 2010 release. just saying that at one point it looked like we'd have two solo albums in contention from both of them this yr.

Ciara & Dream/Tricky have great chemistry so the album should be great, but honestly I'm a bit disappointed that she isn't working with Danja this time around, he did the best song of the "Fantasy Ride" era ("Echo") and their styles mesh really well.

The Brainwasher, Sunday, 25 October 2009 19:30 (fourteen years ago) link

btw does anyone know anything about Love King? Is that still coming or is Love v. Money gonna be Terius' final solo album? He mentioned he was gonna retire after Love King this year, but since then he's been named the VP of Def Jam so...?

The Brainwasher, Sunday, 25 October 2009 19:31 (fourteen years ago) link

He mentioned he was gonna retire after Love King this year

whaat, do you have a link to that?

samosa gibreel, Sunday, 25 October 2009 19:36 (fourteen years ago) link

Love King is done being recorded according to Tricky, but is being delayed until early 2010 to finish tweaking it etc. His retirement was never gonna be from producing, just from his own recorded output, so as VP of Def Jam he'll probably work on recruiting producing etc. for other people as he has been recently. This is all subject to change of course, but that was the latest news.

7borad dudes get sb'd, frequently. (Alex in Montreal), Sunday, 25 October 2009 21:21 (fourteen years ago) link

that's a shame. i mean i like electrik red a lot but the the-dream albums are by far my favourite. to me they're the most sonically original and where you get the clearest view of the universe they're trying to create. on how to be a lady it's like the're filling the mold of clubby girl-pop, but lvm or l/h it's a whole plane where southern rap meets r&b pop and there's those huge space synths and slow-motion reverbed drums.

i dunno if this has been talked about already but to say this song is sweet, lol, isnt he actually being a bit of a git, saying she looks like a 'milkshake'? its kinda what you expect to hear the guy in a porno saying after hes shot his load and the girl looks like she hates him and wonders why shes doing this.
