assuming a vital connection here between Mr. Goode and XTC (the drug) but I might be wrong.

There was a lengthy debate about the meaning of 'Salmon' in the great lost thread.

rhyming slang: Salmon-trout : 'snout' = de ganga maaan.

PS Ebeneezer (comedian Gerry Shadowitz) in the video wore a top-hat and had a cane, can't remember the cape, but it was basically just his stage gear.

Only pic I can find. Looks a wee bit like a cape. I had the Boss Drum video too, but threw it out a couple of years ago.

Besides the chorus, considering the verse lyrics as well, did anyone actually believe The Shamen when they said it wasn't about E's?

Also, was L.S.I. (Love Sex Intelligence) supposed to be about LSD?

Es are good.

My dad went to college with the drummer(?) from the Shamen, he died by drowning while on holiday just before they got big, I think.

Umm, I thought I recalled reading somewhere (S. Reynolds, maybe) that one of yr more popular contemporary manufactures of E was coming in off-pink pills, hence "salmon" as slang for 'em.

Salmon= salmon and trout= snout. Which is just normal tobacco I always thought?
