OK, this is a question that some of you might be able to help with. My top artist totals are getting thrown off by artists who have more than one project or record under several different names. Is there any way to get them combined?

Because honestly, counting up, my top listened artist of the past 3 months is definitely Lindstrom, but he's subdivided up under 3 different projects.

i think that's just a hazard of collaboration-heavy artists - unless you want to manually retag all his collabs as just "lindstrøm".

it's easy with hip-hop and r&b feature spots as there'll generally be one lead artist who can be credited, but if it's billed as a collaboration of equals like lindstrøm & prins thomas, ellen allien & apparat, john parish & pj harvey, i just tend to live with it - retagging so only one artist gets credited would be more annoying to me.

Ah well, I guess I can live with Lindstrom and Ellen Allien and their collaborations.

But some people, it's like... WHY DO YOU NEED SO MANY NAMES?!?!??!?

Agreed. I wish someone would write something that queried Discogs against your artists and normalised the charts to deal with this sort of thing...
