Rolling last.fm thread 2009 no haters!

I don't actually have a single Swans song in my last.fm library. I'm pretty sure I've listened to them on my personal mp3 at some point though.
last.fm only lists anything I play sitting at my home computer so probably less than 30% of my overall listening

wow I never noticed that! the version that I have in my collection is the same as yours except it hasn't been tagged properly (doesn't have the squiggly thing over the letter 'a') so I guess last.fm read that as the mellower version. liking it. :)

I sometimes take a look through close neighbours with v. high or super compatibility and scroll down their charts until I find something I haven't heard. A bit hit and miss but sometimes something comes up that's worth a listen.

Yeah what Onimo said e.g. in my ignorance I'd always assumed that Bohren & der Club of Gore were some dodgy German goth thing like Philip Boa or whatevs until I saw them high in someone's charts. Checked them out and now it's totally <3.
