Will the real internet prankster please stand up! Dont make me start typing FUCK YOU a lot. I'm guessing it aint Steph, LOX, Qoolout, Hillis or SecondSage. hmmm... now, who the fuck does that leave... come on, dont be an internet pussy too son, stand the fuck up.

When the fuck have I ever used the word loser?

Just in case you aint get the point of this, I didn't send up that last post. Was it you Kazper, maybe, was it a one timer, maybe. Whoever the fuck it was, stand up you pussy.

Uhh hi to u too kazpar....

Didn't think it wuz u who wrote that 3:16, personally i think its kazpar lol

Steph, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

LOL, we know it wasn't you 3:16, and for real Steph, I'd like to bring it to kazper but we don't know if it was cuz so I'll leave it alone. I will say it was someone who has been following this thread for a long time. This is what I have to say to that wanna be. "I'm glad we inspire you, but impostor, why are you so mad? Try to understand, that we do want you as a fan." I can (maybe) understand a person being scared to speak his or her mind face to face...but you are on the Internet. What is there to fear? Use your own identity. Big J, I saw Shaq. Do you think he missed on purpose or what? I couldn't really tell, but it seemed like it was a clear shot. And about Phil Jackson...that man is sooo overrated, I've been saying it for years. Philly's coach even said (last season) "If Phil had any heart he would have coached Toronto." LOL. Why does that man receive so much praise when all he does is go where the best players are? Steph, stop hackin so much. Sike lol, how many points did you have. What up Best? I said the same thing about that freestyling. I guess some peeps don't know the definition of freestyling. 3:16, I don't think cuz is gonna stand up, but time will tell. We got a new coah yet again in Washington. I don't follow college ball so tell me, is this Spurrier man any good. I mean, I know he is, but can he take that talent to the NFL. And since my boys are nowhere near the playoffs this year, I'm gonna root for Kordell and them. I always liked running QB's and no true Skins fan likes the Ravens; it just can't be done, lol. Who you pulling for Hillis? Oh yeah, Best if you know where I can hear that new Nas /Jada diss, let me know.

Qoolout, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

3:16, I didn't really think it was you, so that's why I asked. I wanted to be sure that my UK homeboy hadn't gone sour on a DOWN SOUTH hustla. Anyway, someone on here must not like. I don't think it's kazper, though. Whoever it is, they must know how beef is in here, and instead of using their real name, they gotta hide behind somebody with pull in here. 3:16, you're the lucky one whose email must have been easy to type, I guess. Oh well, who cares? Maybe I'm next.

Some of it was funny. I remember when I first started on here, I used to fuck with Lox about them caps. Fellas, don't hate on Phil! All he does is maximizes talent! Shaq and Kobe didn't start winning until Phil got there. I don't think there are any other coaches who could have gotten a 15-1 playoff run out of the Lakers. Also, Phil maximized talent with Jordan, too. He's more of a mental leader than a strategic tactician. When you have talent like he finds, he simply maximizes their productivity by challenging them to step up their games. You gotta admit, eight rings is no coincidence, or fluke, or luck. Michael Jordan wasn't simply the best when Phil first got a hold of him. Plus, he did stick around after Jordan left, and got the Bulls within 6 games of the NBA Finals, after their on court leader left. That's not bad. Look at the Bulls now w/o Jordan. Look at the Wiz w/a 38 yr. old Jordan. So losing him when he was 29 had to have been even more crucial. I don't think Phil is overrated, I just think people fail to realize that their are other coaches who could have produced similar results with the same talent.

That Shaq fight was some bullshit. I think he missed on purpose, too. How do you miss somebody with they back turned. If he was mad, he probably would have pushed him first. I think Shaq is trying to scare people from fouling him. It won't work, though. You can't hold Shaq without fouling him, even if you try not to. Shaq my boy, so he just need to calm his down. I'm just waitin for the day he chokeslams somebody.

Qoolout, I don't think Spurrier will fit in the NFL, though I won't be surprised if he does. I don't think grown men will put up with his antics, nor will he be able to bring in the nation's best like he did with recruiting. Redskin personnel is shaky for a Spurrier system. Someone also brought up the point that his QBs are never any good in the NFL. I believe it's because all of FLA's receivers do the work. However, Spurrier has a better chance than any other coach out there (save Bill Parcells) of turning the Skins into a contender.

The Blazers downfall was coaching, pure and simple. Mike Dunleavy didn't place Scottie Pippen in a leadership role, nor did he develop Rasheed Wallace into a go to player. Mike Dunleavy lacked the kahones to sit players down, and it came back to bite him in the ass.

I'm out like Tony Dungy from the Bucs. Peace.

Since I can't beat the Sports Illustrated Movement, I have to join it. My BEARS are gonna do it this year. The Pack and The Rams are gonna beat each other up so bad. The problem with philly is they traded their whole team. I jumped off the Jordan bulls to join them cause I liked Iverson and Ratliff. Philadelphia is a historically bad trading team. They need new ownership.

But, you know me, back to the topic, I'm awaiting a ROOTS album or Black Thought's solo release. This is my flavor. Besides, Tariq is my middle name. Mos Def proved his point in rock'n'roll and needs to drop another classic. oh yeah, Hillis, "Black On Both Sides" has good music. I know cats don't be feelin "deep" shit butthis fits my brainwaves.

What the fuck is deep anyway?????? I think I just talk regular. I came into alot of info over the last couple years that helps me put shit in perpective. I feel like I almost got bird's eye view on shit.

Oh, yeah, to the fake 3:16, my name is not stupid. My name is original as fuck. I have it on every website known. By the time mofo's know enough about it to want to copy it I'll already have it on lock. It's my internet name, my stage name (If I ever get in the game), and my pen name (If I decide to write books). No one has had a name this original in a while.

Big-J, and all other cats that be in NY, I need consistent updates. I'm stuck here with Petey.

Keep me up on info

Hillis,

No way is 2Pac the greatest rapper of all-time. Rakim and Kool Moe Dee are definitely better. Pac is a tremendous talent, but he doesn't quite reach Rakim's and KMD's level. If 2Pac is Jordan then Rakim is Superman.

NBBJ, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

First and foremost, the artificial ass 3:16 has received a technical foul for that hoax. We all know that you are dying for attention, and you captured everyones attention so now are you satisfied. Now you can reveal your true identity, so I can humiliate your dolo ass. Man I am not going to knock the South dun, the women are mad gorgeous. Damn, up in NY we have the Puerto Rican mommies, but Louisiana comes equipped with those lucious creole chicks. Damn, those broads are fine. I'm also kind of mad though because I don't get any more Hot 97, instead I get the "Bounce It Back" every two min. rotation from 94.1. It's a fuckin' coincidence that when I came back down here mothaphuckas that was dick riding Jay Z are now all of a sudden reppin' Nas LMAO. Oh yeah and speakin' of the league my New York Football Jets got man handled by Rice and the Raiders on Sat. It's alright though because C. Martin still had a mad year with over 1,500 yards rushing, and he will be goin' to Hawaii. I can't wait for Nas's next single to air, my sources tell me it's either going to be "Poison" or "Rule". I hope it's "Poison" so niggaz can realize that there's more to offer to hip hop than ice, dough, hoes, and whips. Mad love to all of the vets on the board holdin' they own, and thanks Kazper for reppin' a niggaz rhyme. In the words of LOX "I'M OUT". ~1~

The Best, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

NBBJ, I gotta disagree to the utmost. When people say B.I.G is better than Pac, I at least can understand why they say that...but it doesn't change my opinion that Pac is the best. Now you are saying Rakim and Kool Moe Dee are better? Can you please explain? No offense, but I find that only old heads rep for Rakim and KMD. If I'm wrong let me know. But the truth is, if you are old or not, those rappers are not near being Superman, or Jordan, or the greatest. Yes, they paved the way. Yes, they opened doors, but that does not make them the best. And let's not forget Rakim's last CD. That was proof that the game has passed him by. He gets my respect for what he has done, but let's not make him bigger than what he is. And not only am I saying Pac is better, but Nas and Jay, etc. are better too. Like I said, they did rep in the past, but that's the past. Hillis, Phil is overrated. You think he would have won any of them Bulls titles without Jordan? I don't. He did get LA a ring in his 1st year with them, but it was clear that LA was already getting better. Kobe has gotten better every year. If Phil would had been there since Kobe got there, would they have more titles? I doubt it. I'm not saying he's a bad coach; I'm saying he is overrated. Just like that ex mayor Rudy of New York. And New York in general. I feel for those who got hurt or lost their life Sept. 11th, but all I hear is New York, New York. I never hear anything about D.C. You'd think no one in Washington got hurt or killed Sept. 11th. My bad, y'all, I just had to get that off my chest. Anyway, this quote had me laughing. "By the time mofo's know enough about it to want to copy it I'll already have it on lock." ~Second Sage.

Jay-Z Nas hip-hop throw down and other throw downs? Continued? Oh well, I must say it's good to see everybody again. On a hip-hop note, I've noticed that everybody is talkin about "Ether." It's amusing because last month it was "Takeover" burnin it up. A lot of these people haven't heard "Super Ugly," though. I think even though a lot of people on theses threads said Super Ugly is weak, I think it's gonna be just as hard as Ether because a lot of people will be impressed that Jay-Z fucked Nas' baby momma.

Sage, I ain't tryin to hate, but the Bears are garbage. They are thanking God they don't have to see the Pack because their season would be guaranteed to end that day. The Bears don't have a chance against the Rams or the Pack, in my opinion. I think they are a continuation of last year's Giants. But oh well, I'd rather the Bears win than the Packers or the Rams. But I find it unlikely. However, I'm pullin for an AFC team, even if it means cheering for the hated Ravens.

Best, again not hating, but I would suggest considering Omega Psi Phi. Kappas are nice, but they don't always get nationwide respect. Omegas always get respect, no matter what. However, Omegas have a loud, rowdy, "doggish" image, and that may not be you. But the Kappas have a pretty boy image that isn't me. So it's whatever. Even though I'm sure you know this already, I'll tell you anyway: pledging a frat at an HBCU means you gon get yo ass WHIPPED! And sometimes for no other reason than they just want to whip y'all's asses. Good luck, though. You'll be all right.

I'm out like Marty Schottenheimer in Washington. Peace!

Interesting comments and I can appreciate your opinion. I still disagree, but that is the nature of discussion. I am curious to learn what aspects of Biggy and 2Pac that you find better than Rakim and KMD. I enjoy both 2Pac and Biggy very much, but as far as them having superior lyrical skills to Rakim and KMD I just don't see it.

At times both KMD and Rakim suffered from the problem of mediocre beats. I found KMD's last stuff and Rakim's last stuff to be disappointing, but at their best Rakim and KMD are second to none in my book.

First off, I do not think..I know that Nas is ten times better than Jay-z. I bet you any amount of money that if you put Nas and Jay-z on 106th and park on the free style battle Nas would win anyday.. Just like Emineem ripped jigga Nas will.. I think Nas is the best rapper alive right now..I do not think he was the best because the best were Biggie and Pac but Nas is the best lyricist and rapper alive right now!! I love him and i love his new album..

The "Stillmatic" Freestyle was poetic and clever. "The Takeover" was a very strong response, but "Ether" blew it to pieces. "Supa Ugly" was a desperate and pathetic attempt at coming back at Nas. Jigga please! Ran out of ideas Hova? Weak. Nas won this hands down. I'll give props to Jay-Z though, that "People Talkin'" freestyle he did recently was impressive... but Nas still sits on the throne.

Robert Kelly, Tuesday, 22 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Nas is not the best emcee out there, but he is close. Jay-Z has had commercial success but he put's out another album every 3 weeks. Jay-Z's beats are hella tight but half the time he makes no sense lyrically. Nas can put out an album every 3 or 4 years and still make a big dent in the music industry without a neptune, Timbaland or Dr. Dre beat. The Flex freestyle proved that he has and will continue to win this rap war. You can make all the comments about sleeping with his baby mom, but he ripped Jay-Z over and over again. He's not even with the chick any more!!! Jay-Z started something he can't finish. Jigga man needs to sit his uglu ass down and think of another wack rhyme to come back with. He makes no sense at all in "Super Ugly" he doesn't even rhyme and he's off tempo. The "Pretty Poet" got this one, hands down.

Please calm down and take a seat. Jay Z is a fabricated rapper and so are any of his counterparts, and his buddies dont have any record sales either. As for Jadakiss his style is week, he cant ryhme, his voice sounds just like the other two Lox bed-buddies as for Nas, Lyriacally untouchable and probably the most competent of all them but still his pockets are fat and any thug stories he tells, are old enough passed down at campfires. He's been out of the ghetto too long to remember what a gun looks like. So overall, not just because im a fan of him, but i believe 2pac is the king of New York. dont forget he was born in B.K, he schooled Biggies to the game, dissed out all thre of those bastards and stayed ghetto until the day he died. Oh not to mention in 2001 his record sales beat Jay Z's, Jada's, and Nas's. This even tough he's been dead for 5 years.....now what does that say when his record sales in New York State beat all of theirs, now as for the fued, jay z is gonna lose it when Nas disses him out, turning like 60 next year both rappers will sit down and retire like they should have years ago and settle their differences in a nice quiet game of B.I.N.G.O, and Jadakiss will cling to DMX like father and son and just hope x features him on a track in the future, so he can live up to what he says and actually have money. Thanks my name is Big D and im from tha B holdin it down..... Big L R.I.P, 2pac R.I.P

Not hating on the Jigga Man or nuthin, BUT, Jay-Z has hated on Nas since ILLmatic got 5mics & Reasonable Doubt got 4 1/2mics (i think)! Jay has dun loads of little stuff to try & get Nas to strike 1st but the N to tha A to tha S I-R didn't bother. Jigga twice smapled Nas's voice. Once on Dead Presidents & Once on So Ghetto (Nas is d one saying, "you know him well"...(By the name of Jigga)). So den Jay-Z did d Ask Nas he dont want it wit Hov, Nooooooooo! Also in all of Nas' thank you's from It Was Written-Nastradamus Nas thankx Jigga or Roca Fella, whereas Jay-Z has never thanked tha QB Poet. Anyway both tunes rock but Takeover is HOT! Not neccessarily a rap song, but a quote nonetheless: "It's not about East or West. It's about niggaz and bitches, power and money, riders and punks. Which side are you on?"--2Pac

Now a rap quote--"I'm a Bad Boy killa, Jay-z die too/Lookin out for Mobb Deep, nigga when I find you/"--2Pac

What yp again? I've been readin the most memorable verses, and 99% of them all came from Hillis,3:16, and Best. The one percent? The HA! Remix by bob and the first ever flow he ever did up here. if ya dont remember, he did it on Feb 15, but just for amusement purposes and in no way meant to hurt anyone, oh well fuck it here it goes (And this was meant towards Best during the time):

They call me bob/and me and my boy Rob is gonna cut you like a cod/dont be sad cuz I'm really rad(LOL!!!)and you're just bad/your dumbass probably cant even add/but i'm glad you think you're good/because the niggas around me act just like boys in the hood/like you wish you could find your wood/fatass with no class/after reading these they would have to put you in a cast/you have some skills but they wont last/with me here you might as well sit on your couch and have a beer or fuck a deer/cock sucker!/

LOL!!! This nigga said "rad"!!! No wonder why Best didn't really want to battle with him, or that Hillis didnt take him seriously. I almost fell off my chair.

I'm out,as in knocked-out after i fell down from laughin so hard from readin his rhymes

Man half of you all are CRAZY! You cannot compare Nas to Jay-Z. Jay- Z is a party rapper, he is a pop star. Nas is a lyricist, using a more complex rhyme scheme. Nas ate Jay-Z alive with his Ether literally calling him out on all his lies. Jay-Z isn't a bad rapper in any respect. He has a lot of clever verses, though his rhyme scheme is really simple. It is just STUPID to compare sales. I mean Cash Money Millionares generate some of the highest sales in the industry and they suck at rhyming, they just make party beats and shit you can bob your head to. Jay-Z makes more party songs than Nas which is why he has more sales. Mobb is tighter than Dr. Dre, they would eat him alive, but he makes more sales because he caters to a larger audience, not just the hard-core hip hop crowd. So lyrically Nas kills Jay-Z, but Jay-Z is a good rapper with a good sense of marketing and puts out more party songs. "Big Pimpin" is not a lyrically good song, but it sold millions of his albums, so don't compare sales cuz that's just ignorant.

To all you fags hatin on Nasty Nas, you better sit back and peep albums Illmatic thru Stillmatic that guy snapped on every track, give or take a few. Nas has lots ofcreditability in the game, and the oonly thing he truely lacks at times is production. Yeah, Jig dope, but if he doesn't show me something in Nov. w/ the Blueprint 2 then he may as well call it quits.

P.S. faggots Eminem or Canibus will snap anyone in the rap game.

Jay-Z's album was more of a beat album cuz if u listen closely he is bout to fall off in the eyes and ears of true rap fans. In almost every song he is riding BIG's dick or stealing BIG's lyrics word for word or other artists for that matter(2PAC, etc.). He'll never be what he once was cuz his not creative enough. If you want proof listen to his album with R. Kelly or the dynasty; they both are garbage albums with no quality material like reasonable doubt. Nas is better than Jay-Z because stillmatic had more meaning and substance and more of a point. I do agree that Nas did fall off himself after he made nastradamus but he now back on top. The only reason Jay-z has had more success is because Jay-Z is more mainstream than Nas, which is also why great lyricists such as Common, Mos Def, and Talib Kweli. And even Pac had better lyrics than Jay-Z during his Makaveli point because each word had a point and served a purpose("We probably in Hell already/Our dumbasses not knowin/Everybody kissin ass to go to Heaven aint goin-Blasphemy). If thats not a true lyric then i dont know what is...

Those who don't know 50 cent need to get up on a bootleg or a mixtape or something. In "How to Rob", the hook says that "this ain't serious...". He ALWAYS gives Biggie AND Pac their props, and you can hear their influence in his work. Not copying, but strictly influence. He doesn't HAVE to borrow their lines. This proves that he knows his shit. 50 is the best all-around rapper. Why? Because his syle is so versatile. If you listen to his shit, on the collabo songs, soimetimes you can't tell when its him. True it does take some listening, but he RIPS it. I didn't know nothing about 50 cent, but all it took was to listen to the bootleg of Power of a Dollar, and EVERYBODY I know likes his shit. Ya'll need to hear the song with Beyonce. (girls) Also, 50 is one of the few that REALLY lived through some shit worth rapping about. Rappers who take it to the next level are on some shit... then when people like me go to congress fighting for the reputation of hip-hop, we don't have aleg to stand on.

first of all jay-z makes hits period. he isnt deep his lyrical content is garbage. why dont you cats pick up some real hip hop records and stop listening to the radio. the blueprint has no structure to it. its just 13 songs to make money and play on the radio. why dont you cats pick up a roots record or something. here goes some names for you niggas who stay on the fm radio station: black thought, common, slum village, mos and talib, gangstarr. oh and andre 3000 is that nigga. nas keep doing your thing. that nigga jay-z is mute right about now.

I've been reading over the comments posted and respect everyone of them. For my 2cents I wanna say that lyrically Nas has it. If your life has any depth to it that is a hands down argument. His rymes are well thought out and meaningful. His inspiration is spiritual. I don't agree with everything he says but that's me. However I do know that Jay-Z's lyrics have the depth of the air above the sears tower. Not that he can't get deep. I will not Judge him. I just believe that he has learned a valuable lesson from Nas. The masses Don't buy truth but Debauch in Hype and Pleasure. Holla Back
