I guess I don't read many of these, then. I was literally shocked when I read this review. It reads like a hysterical Facebook status update by an illiterate.

This isn't great. I wasn't much of a fan of their first album. They sound like a . And I can't stand Ezra Koenig's voice, so that doesn't help.

On Burial's Untrue: "If you've recently caught on the dubstep wave, check this out for something deeper. This is great layered electronic music. This is IDM at it's finest in my opinion. Highly recommended."
Now I know almost nothing about electronic music, but does Burial have fuck all to do with IDM?

2004 was the year of "rock" with Greenday's foray into the spotlight with American Idiot, and Linkin Park's Meteora. The later end of decade was a little more modern to the times. Chili Peppers returned with Stadium Archadium. I still remember the day I went out to buy that (probably because I bought The MArs Volta's 3rd on the same day). 2007 was more Avril and Linkin Park.2008 was pretty recent right? Wrong. It was the beginning of the cheap bubblegum hip hop of t-pain, T.I. and Young Jeezy.

This is not to mention all of the "buzz ballad bands" like 3 Doors Down, Stained and Lifehouse. And people used to actually listen to this shit. Fuck as far as I know people still do, knowing that Miley Cyrus is constantly number one on itunes.Lets hope for a better decade.

Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial OrchestraIt's easy to write a pop song. It's mindless to follow structure. However it is not simple to create beautiful and emotional music that goes where it wants to. Each song is a novel of sound. Silver Mt. Zion is a unique post rock band. You give a lot to the listener that others don't. They don't rely on unbearable amounts of distortion, they don't give you cheesy made up words as their lyrics, there's no sweepingly ultra emotional crescendos, and they're by no means ambient. It's a dark, heavy and extremely organic, earthy sound. The only thing plugged into the wall is the one guitar, everything else is a sting instrument.
