Well, its gotta be about (only!) 200 LPs, 400 CDs, 150 Tapes, 50
Minidiscs, 800 Singles (7s, 12s, CDs) and about 200 hours of MP3.
I think that's pretty excessive really, but I couldn't bear to chuck
any of them out - I've tried, but I just give them one last listen
and think - Oh, I quite-liked the transition between the bridge and
chorus in that Space B-side. As a result I never chuck out anything,
no matter how embarassing. Except the first Radiohead EP which I
chucked a few years ago, and then found out was worth about a hundred
quid...
And I'd bought it for 10p in a bargin bin...
And there where 10 more in the same bin at the time.

I've got somewhere in the region of 2500 and 3000 having given up
trying to keep count after 1000 or so some years ago. Frankly it's a
frightening statistic and has already resulted in having to move
property to accomodate the growing musical mass!

Before discovering Minidisc's I had no job or cash therefore my
collection is small and needs no database. 200 cd's, 20 tapes, 100 MD,
and around 40 mp3's on HD at a time. of course if i had a job that was
more than 6$ an hour i could afford more but oh well...long time left
to buy music.

five months pass...
24 CDs. 8 to 10 tapes. About 20 burned CDs, but they don't really
count. My excuse: I'm 15, I have no job and very little money, and
what I do get from babysitting is divided mostly between books and
saving for [insert name here]. [Insert name here], last a new CD
player, is currently a guitar, and I should have enough to pay for it
right around when my current CD player breaks.
