DaMFunK DâM-FunK Anyway, back 2 the 'public poll'. I wanna know: Are we 'leaving/checking voice mails' anymore in 2010 or are we going 'strictly text'? Thx.3 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply
DaMFunK DâM-FunK + w/ the new 'I'm not checking a voice msg vibe' it now invites the infamous 'text of a number you've never seen B4' on your cell. #TheWorst5 minutes ago
DaMFunK DâM-FunK Yet, I've always believed in giving as much info as possible, via a detailed 'voice message'. But, it seems we're @ a crossroads w/ v.m.'s.7 minutes ago

DaMFunK DâM-FunK Peace. Check it; I'd like 2 begin w/ a simple 'public poll' 2day: Is it STILL cool 2 leave 'voice messages' or just 'text only'? Weigh in.14 minutes ago

Not sure about it yet - seems like it relies a little too heavily on the whole throwback joke.

Embarrassingly, I'd never heard of DaM-FunK before this thread got revived. A few sound clips in, a quick trip to the record store to see if they had a copy of the 5-LP Toeachizown box (THEY DID), a few sides deep, and HOLY hell this is brilliant shit. I'm grinning like an idiot at pretty much every single track, and there are still 2 1/2 LPs to go. He makes keyboard pitchbending seem like simultaneously the most elemental and most out-there thing I've ever heard. I kind of feel like if everyone in the world could listen to one of his tracks simultaneously we might be able to achieve world peace.

Rare Dâm-Funk interview on collabos and the upcoming singles and album Invite The Light. Including unusual sharp words on 'Niggas In Paris' / Tyler The Creator from 5:30 on

^ Extract from the interview with Damon:
"I'm tired of people making songs like 'Niggas in Paris'. You got millionaires like Kanye and Jay-Z who still have the nerve to use that kind of word and have the whole world running around talking about niggas in Paris. What are you doing? You got millions, fool. What are you doing making my race look bad? You don't ever hear people say 'Kikes in Paris', 'Chinks in Paris', 'Wetbacks in Paris'? So why do you degrade my race and my people? I'm tired of it, I'm not degrading my black people in my music, I won't. I won't be like those other coons doing it right now."
