My dad went to college with the drummer(?) from the Shamen, he died by drowning while on holiday just before they got big, I think.

rhyming slang: Salmon-trout : 'snout' = de ganga maaan

Umm, I thought I recalled reading somewhere (S. Reynolds, maybe) that one of yr more popular contemporary manufactures of E was coming in off-pink pills, hence "salmon" as slang for 'em.
