Does anyone know what was going on with the Mystic + Voiceprint + Repertoire Amon Duul 2 CDs?

There's the Lemmingmania CD issue which makes some of these bonus tracks obsolete... but as to explain why the bonus tracks are what they are... *shrug*.. welcome to the weird world of Repertoire Records. I like the label because they happen to release a lot of great 70s rock stuff that's mastered well enough; and they don't fuck up the proper albums at least (from what I can tell so far), so I can't complain about oddly placed bonus tracks really.

Weird. The Repertoire version of Yeti has a contemporaneous single as the bonus tracks, totally consistent and works well. It also restores a few seconds of "Pale Gallery" that the Mantra edition left off. I'm totally happy with it.

These tracks referenced above, however, sound pretty sketchy.

i remember forced exposure getting a bunch of AD2 reissues a few years back, all on some label i had never heard of. and they made a point of mentioning that the bonus tracks were dodgy at best.

is the japanese pressing of yeti the only one with the full six minute version of "pale gallery"?

Um, maybe the lesson here is: don't bother with any AD2 beyond Tanz Der Lemminge? You're probably best off that way...

I don't think there's an album of theirs I don't like, at least a bit - "Only Human" is my least favourite, followed by "Pyragony X", but there are still some good songs on both of those. Also, I haven't heard "Nada Moonshine #", so I can't say about that, except for the parts I'm assuming are on "Flawless", which just seems like a mess. I am in the process of replacing as many of my LPs for CDs as I can, though, and I get particularly interested in music I haven't heard. The "Carnival in Babylon" extra tracks on the Repertoire reissue look sensible to me, now that I've looked them up, and I'm really interested in the recent Inside/Out versions of "Almost Alive", "Vortex" and "Only Human".

Thanks for that long version of "Pale Gallery", been searching for that for a while!

My "yeti" is on Gammarock. I think it's in the car.

So's mine... on Gammarock... not in your car... at least I don't think it is
