I ask her about Doherty. "We're just good friends," she says. "I asked Pete to do a concept EP, and he made this face, he looked at me like I'd pooed on the floor. He wouldn't do it. We're just really close."

i love her. even though all the 'blake' stage patter is a bit grating now and she still doesnt sing well live. id like her band to not dress up so nostalgically though, just to make her act look a bit less retro. i dont get why she seems to have disowned the first album though - would be nice to hear songs from there live.

^^^I know right? Frank was pretty good and I love 'Stronger Than Me' and 'Fuck Me Pumps', Amy then was far wittier and acerbic whereas on Back To Black she's just a miserable old...something or other.

During her hour-long set, the 24-year-old star spat out her chewing gum on stage and criticised Jay-Z for not knowing his song lyrics.
She said: 'Jay-Z's got some front to come here with tunes you don’t even remember.'
don't think that's what she meant.

SHOCK details of Amy Winehouse’s drug use emerged last night – she binged on crystal meth and may have brain damage after a 36-HOUR pot marathon.
The singer, 24, suffered two major overdoses, with such bad convulsions that they were “like a scene from The Exorcist”.
And her body is so frail from drug use that doctors were scared she would break bones during a fit.
A close pal of Amy’s laid bare the truth – warning medics said one more overdose will probably kill her.
The friend revealed:
AMY’S first overdose in August last year was from cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, ketamine and crystal meth.
SHE was advised to see a psychiatrist after displaying “multiple personality traits” that made her a suicide risk.
HER second overdose was in July – when she inhaled an “inhuman” amount of hash that left her vomiting uncontrollably and hallucinating.
At the time devoted dad Mitch, 54, said it was a “bad reaction to her medication”.
MEDICS are worried Amy’s brain was damaged by the cannabis overdose – she displayed symptoms normally associated with schizophrenia.
The pal yesterday said: “The future is bleak, bleak, bleak.
“Mitch does everything he can to protect his daughter - but his ‘explanation’ for Amy’s hospital dash in July was just simply untrue.
“She had smoked an inhuman amount of hash which resulted in acute cannabis poisoning. You have to take a s***load of pot to suffer that severe a reaction.
“It’s thought she had been smoking it for 36 hours.
“Amy’s fits were as bad as the convulsions she had during her overdose in August last year. No one has mentioned her meth use before – but that stuff is truly nasty.
“She is in need of years of psychiatry and medical treatment if she has a hope.”

Mitch Winehouse Releases Debut Album "Rush Of Love"
The 59 year-old jazz lover and father to one of the UK's biggest music exports releases his own collection of smooth jazz and swing crooning.

Mitch Winehouse, former cab driver and father to one of the UK's biggest music exports is about to prove the critics wrong with the release of his debut album 'Rush Of Love' on April 5th 2011.
At the age of 59, Mitch is turning a life-long ambition into reality, showcasing his in-depth knowledge and sheer passion for jazz and swing music with this 11-track debut featuring a host of rarely uncovered classics as well as four brand new tracks.
"We love singing in our family" Mitch explains, "I was always singing at home. But this is a dream come true and musically, it's a great album."
Despite his own undeniable music talent, Mitch is also realistic about the assumptions that will be made about his newfound career choice:
"If Amy wasn't my daughter I wouldn't be given this opportunity. I'm not stupid, I know that. But if I couldn't sing I wouldn't have been given the opportunity either."
Teaming up with old family friend Tony Hiller, writer of 'Save Your Kisses For Me' and hundreds of other jazz and pop standards, was another logical step for Mitch who has, quite obviously, had the time of his life researching and compiling his music debut.
"I had such a good time making this album. We tried 40 songs we loved and worked through them with a pianist. If it didn't work for us, we moved on, but just reliving them was enough."
Having grown up around the legendary songwriter and producer - Mitch's Dad and Tony were old mates in London's East End - Mitch felt it a natural fit to have Hiller involved in the project and now joins a list of illustrious artists from Elton John to Matt Monro who have performed Tony's songs.
Not only producer of the album, Hiller has also penned its 4 brand new tracks 'Tell Me', 'No More Broken Hearts', 'Nights' and debut single 'Rush Of Love To The Heart'.
Alongside the new Hiller compositions are 'Please Be Kind' - a 1938 song first performed by Mildred Bailey and also later recorded by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Frank Sinatra.
'How Insensitive' is an Antonio Carlos Jobim composition that anyone from Judy Garland to Iggy Pop have put their name next to, and 'You Go To My Head' is a real jazz enthusiast's favorite.
Mitch also pays homage to Frank Sinatra with 'Close Your Eyes', "...a beautiful jazz song, but a less known Sinatra song," Mitch enthuses, "Stacey Kent does it, but I've never heard anyone else and it's just wonderful."
The album also features the 1931 Bing Crosby classic 'I Apologize', and 'Day by Day', also later recorded by Crosby in 1946 as well as by Doris Day in the same year. 'You Go To My Head' has been re-worked by such fans ranging from Billie Holiday to Rod Stewart. Finally, the popular 'April In Paris,' taken from the 1932 Broadway musical 'Walk A Little Faster' and later performed by the likes of Louis Armstrong, is given the Mitch makeover.
'Rush Of Love' is classic debut full of surprises... just like Mitch.
