i really like it! never got into "breaking point" but "pretty girl rock" was fun and this is even better

I never even heard "Breaking Point" but last night I heard "Pretty Girl Rock" on the radio and man! that is great!

The new Chrisette Michele album is really striking... she's definitely taking more risks on this one, and it's a lot snappier than Epiphany. And "Goodbye Game" is a hell of an anthem

well at least i won't have to worry about whether to scrobble it with the stupid extra i

i have not heard remotely as many R&B albums this year as i did in 08 or 09, and i'm not sure if that's my fault or there really has just been fewer full-lengths generating any excitement. can we start talking year-end favorites? i'm sure i missed some good shit.

corinne bailey rae
trey songz

it's a bit of a weird year in that, even though i've been actively disappointed by v little, nothing 's really leaped out and demanded the top spot. i've absolutely caned love king but i can't honestly give it album of the year status when i compare it to its predecessors.

still some to come - is the keri hilson album due this year? and ciara, obviously, who actually might well have made by album of the year.

-dream and corinne bailey rae are my top r&b, i think.

most exciting release left is def LAST TRAIN TO PARIS (very well could be end up my album of the year!), then BASIC INSTINCT and the Jazmine Sullivan (anyone heard this yet?)

oh yeah jazmine sullivan! def a contender based on the 5 songs i've heard. is diddy/dirty money still scheduled for this year? labels seem to be doing a bit better at keeping music under wraps these days. apart from ciara's, sigh.

Jeremih is close to beating Dream at his own game this year. Lacks a 'Yamaha' but I'm more prone to spinning the whole album.

I don't dislike it at all. I just didn't really give it much time. I'm not even sure I gave it a second listen.

yeah dude it's a total grower, i think pretty much all its boosters here admit it took them a few listens

really do find that a bizarre viewpoint. i would be loth to criticise the new one by most other available yardsticks, but not in comparison to the debut.

with the exception of quadron (who i've never heard of) i would stand by lex's list and add ne-yo, jeremih and what i've heard of miguel

can't really add to the albums already been said, and tbrr the only ones i'd really go to bat for are erykah and mmts. i suppose it's not really worth me making the big statement about this being the worst r&b year in living memory yada yada, but yeah pretty much all the germane kicks i used to get i've gotten out of 2010's uk funky, house & dancehall tbh.

just listened to the new avant album btw. it was average.
