Aus-oh.

STYLUS BLOG!

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Saturday, 2 August 2003 10:05 (twenty years ago) link

For those that care, The Rub has moved, been redesigned and then renamed to God's Audio/Visual Aid (a phrase shamefully swiped from a Mink Lungs song).

Andrew Frye (paul cox), Wednesday, 13 August 2003 22:08 (twenty years ago) link

Andrew - the new site won't resolve.

Won't resolve?

Andrew Frye (paul cox), Wednesday, 13 August 2003 23:17 (twenty years ago) link

And here's mine, an orphan at present.

Give it a home. Put it on your links page. Feel like you've helped a lonely soul find its feet in this chilly world.

(In case I wasn't clear -- it's been known -- my blog's called Damaged in Transit, and it's really new and lost right now, so try to go easy on it).

Auspicious Fish!Stylus Blog!

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 August 2003 08:59 (twenty years ago) link

maybe we should make another thread spam your blog, just for nick. just joking...

alex in mainhattan (alex63), Thursday, 14 August 2003 09:04 (twenty years ago) link

I never get any interesting mail...

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 August 2003 09:24 (twenty years ago) link

one month passes...
Simple Pleasures is a blog I started this morning. It's my half-arsed attempt to become more articulate in talking about pop music. I'll post something reasonably worthwhile when I get home.

Nick H, Monday, 29 September 2003 13:14 (twenty years ago) link

Jesus, am I the only one on here with a Livejournal? Oh well, here it is. No, it's not teen angst. Mostly just mental hiccups and pictures of random things when I feel like posting them.

Sarah Pedal (call mr. lee), Monday, 29 September 2003 13:33 (twenty years ago) link

errrr mine's back up!

geeta (geeta), Monday, 29 September 2003 13:38 (twenty years ago) link

Oh, I see them. Maybe I'll add a couple of you when I have time.

Sarah Pedal (call mr. lee), Monday, 29 September 2003 13:56 (twenty years ago) link

I have a blog here

only a week old, but I hope to add to it regularly.

Jonathan (Jonathan), Monday, 29 September 2003 15:07 (twenty years ago) link

I've had one since January. It's turned into an on-going attempt to post nothing of worth other than plagarized material. But, it is regular!

El Mundo Perdido, just a baby really, best described as "wonky" and "ill-formed".

adaml (adaml), Tuesday, 21 October 2003 06:07 (twenty years ago) link

It will hopefully be "regular", to borrow a grandmother's toilet phrase.

Boogie Fever: http://boogiefever.blogspot.com/. It's a big ripoff of Popular (http://www.freakytrigger.co.uk/popular.html) and American Hot Wax (http://epicharmus.com/loatd.htm).

I want a new blog... one that won't make me -- oh, wait. I have one. It's tautological: www.philipsherburne.com. Now with pitchers!

philip sherburne (philip sherburne), Thursday, 23 October 2003 18:53 (twenty years ago) link

I still think mine's got the best name, even if the content's a load of arse. There's something about the nice assonance that I like.

There's nothing there yet.

Chuck Tatum (Chuck Tatum), Thursday, 23 October 2003 19:39 (twenty years ago) link

Inspired by the fantastic fluxblog, I've started a similar site. I don't have as many new music connections, so it's going to focus more on overlooked items from the past. This week features the Dustdevils who should be of interest to fans of Sonic Youth (as well as to people who want to know what Mark Ibold was up to before he joined Pavement). Once I get more comfortable with all the technology, I'll be featuring a lot of vinyl only releases. It's at www.mysticalbeast.blogspot.com.

dlp9001, Thursday, 30 October 2003 02:42 (twenty years ago) link

There's no reason why any of you should want to read shoelaces because it's a mate-blog really, but it does have occasional reviews of cantonese hip hop on it...

DJ Martian's Page >>> http://djmartian.blogspot.com
I have developed a music blogs tracking list:
http://blo.gs/3600/favorites.html
powered by http://blo.gs/
This is updated 24/7 with the most recent blogs that are updated listed at the top.

There are some other blogs I would like to add to this tracking list, but they don't currently comply with the system.

Respect to Alex @ Close Your Eyes
http://musik.antville.org/
who also has a blog tracking list >>

DJ Martian (djmartian), Monday, 10 November 2003 16:07 (twenty years ago) link

thank you martin for the thumbs-up. i really cannot understand that so few people use dynamic blogrolls like freshblogs (does not accept any new blogs for the moment but is the most comprehensive) or blo.gs or blogrolling (which is the most popular though it seems to have the fewest blogs with timestamps in the database).

started a blog a few weeks ago, haven't updated it as much as i'd like, but its going quite well so far

i just looked through it again and realised there's actually fuck all about music on it!
i did intend to cover things other than music,(books, art, films, etc),which i have done, but i was planning on writing a fair bit about music as well...
i'll have to rectify that as soon as possible...

Me too. So here it is again:

http://www.espressowerk.blogspot.com

The banner was advertising techno and DJ equipment for many months but I subverted the whole process by writing a few entries on relatively obscure early twentieth century Viennese intellectuals Weininger and Krause. The banner briefly switched to providing some philosophy search suggestions, then gave up and became a blank space brought to me by google. I am very proud of myself. I feel as if I have beaten the system.

Enthusiastic But Mediocre is where I rant a bit craply about pop, pop and more pop. I'm currently on a mission to find out which European chart has the most magnificent pop in it, and if anyone knows how to download songs with Greek or Russian letters in their titles on slsk, I will love you forever.
