What could be worse than Chuck D's band Confrontation Camp? Especially considering that Griff is/was a member.

There's a band whose record I like who have for some reason (something to do with The Royal Tenenbaums) call themselves "Margot & the Nuclear So-and-Sos."

In the 80s you had this very long band names thing. Surely, it was different and cool in a way, but in retrospect, most of those names suck as actual band names.
For instance, Frankie Goes To Hollywod, Pop Will Eat Itself, We've Got a Fuzzbox and We're Gonna Use It etc.

Vampire Weekend (totally misleading)
Apocalyptica (how original...)
!!! (any name that you can't even pronounce without specific instructions is bound to suck)
Hercules and the Love Affair (what the hell does this even mean? the music is quite nice, but the name mislead me to think it's one of those stupid indie bands)

A somewhat talented band in the wake of Goldfrapp, Product 01, will probably be condemned to obscurity due to the most forgettable band name ever. It's not even embarassingly misguided.

There used to be site on the dusty old internet with what seemed like thousands of names in a plain text document. Of course I never bookmarked it or saved it, and google searches for bad band names just fill up with dull blog entries. Don't suppose anyone...?
