11.21 % mainstream

Leee, Sunday, 11 January 2009 22:58 (fifteen years ago) link

That Mainstream-o-Meter just does not want to connect for me. I left it running for 10 minutes this morning; I've just fired it up again but really, it can suck 10 flavours of dick if it takes this long to give a result.

Also, given that it's a meaningless statistic based on an arbitrary notion, I can probably see it far enough.

(Hmm. Who had a pissy day at work, then?)

Et tu, Crut? (The Reverend), Sunday, 11 January 2009 23:00 (fifteen years ago) link

Bah. It's just given me a result. Suppose I'd better paste it here: 18.71 % mainstream.

I can't get the mainstream-o-meter to work either. Bah. Managing to scrobble on the boyfriend's computer (am using it for university work) but I think the Zen Micro won't be able to scrobble ever. Bah.

The mainstream thing is flaky. If if doesn't work within 20 seconds, kill it.

Leee, Monday, 12 January 2009 02:12 (fifteen years ago) link

Ah, I'd had a look at a thread by the guys from that group that someone helpfully posted (was it you?), but the Micro seemed to have no hope. It still looks a tad dubious, shall have to google the PlaysForSure firmware thing and see what that's all about...

emil.y, Monday, 12 January 2009 02:23 (fifteen years ago) link

Nah, that wasn't me. I've got a Creative player too, but I haven't tried it because you need to work the scrobble magic through Win Media Player, and I'm like, as if.

Leee, Monday, 12 January 2009 02:43 (fifteen years ago) link

my eclectic score was 650. not very impressive I guess.
