I remember X-files: Songs in the Key of X was pretty good, better than what I expected at the time (then again I was what...? 9yo --hehe)...
Velvet Goldmine (1998)? all the t.rex...heh...or not.

Pulp Fiction and ResDogs soundtracks (QT in general) are more than a bit overrated...or maybe i'm just tired of hearing about them/him all the time? ...but Little Green Bag...what a song.

and that Kids soundtrack looks like it's definitely one of the best.

Velvet Goldmine looked like it would be good, then was inordinately shitty. Zero points for boring covers.

I know I harp on this film a lot but the Pi soundtrack is excellent - a nice slab of 90s drum b bass and ambient artists, plus Clint Mansell's own great score tracks:

1. Pi (Symbol)r2 - Clint Mansell
2. P.E.T.R.O.L. - Orbital
3. Kalpol Intro - Autechre
4. Bucephalus Bouncing Ball - Aphex Twin
5. Watching Windows - Roni Size
6. Angel - Massive Attack
7. We Got The Gun - Clint Mansell
8. No Man's Land - David Holmes
9. Anthem - Gus Gus
10. Drippy - Banco De Gaia
11. Third from the Sun - Psilonaut
12. A Low Frequency Inversion Field - Spacetime Continuum
13. 2Pi (Symbol)r - Clint Mansell

Crap - Rushmore was the 90s! Where did the last..er...6 years go...

Anyway - for me - it's between Out of Sight, Dead Man Walking (and there's a pretty good score as well with more Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on), Dutch Harbour (which incidentally I think is about to be re-issued on DVD) and Reach The Rock - a film I've never seen but the soundtrack is terrific.

Its totally Natural Born Killers.

Lard "forkboy" >>>>>> Folk Implosion "natural one"

Diamanda gallas "I put a spell on you" over Nusrat Fateh AliKhan >>>>>> Lou Barlow.

bookended by Leonard Cohen >>>>> the whole kids soundtrack.

Holy crap, that does look good. "Fragrance" on a soundtrack! (And an edit of "Blue Milk"?!)

"Abre los ojos" - Spanish film. The remake of this film is Vanilla Sky - terrible reference by the way...
