New Roswell Incident track up. It's black metal. Well, not really. But it's more metal than what usually goes up there. Name your price. Free is a price.

In FNB's defense, there is some not-metal in his list. It's just surrounded by, yes, a lot of metal.

40oz of tears (Jordan), Monday, 4 June 2012 21:30 (eleven years ago) link

Seems to be working fine, if a bit slow.

Hamster of Legend (J3ff T.), Monday, 4 June 2012 21:33 (eleven years ago) link

It appears to be doing a new thing where it loads the entire song before playing, as opposed to before when it would play while it was loading.

three weeks pass...

i've talked to a number of people lately who have haven't heard of bandcamp, and it always surprises me...i think of it as being ubiquitous now, but it seems like there's a real divide between music nerds (who will google "[band name] bandcamp" as a matter of course) and normal folks who have never encountered it.

have a sandwich or ice cream sandwich (Jordan), Friday, 12 October 2012 19:25 (eleven years ago) link

Well when you say 'music, online, purchase directly' most people will think "Oh iTunes." Maybe Amazon.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 12 October 2012 19:28 (eleven years ago) link

i think of Bandcamp kind of like the non-rap equivalent of Dat Piff, if you listen to certain stuff that's not going to be on iTunes, you familiarize yourself with site(s) like that, if not you're good w/ iTunes.

I'm enjoying Monobrow's latest slice of instrumental doom:

http://monobrowmanband.bandcamp.com/album/bennington-triangle-blues

It's not going to change the world, but sometimes you just need big down-tuned riffs without anybody growling or caterwauling over them.
