I'm not sure what you're doing wrong, Mordy. I use manual and scrobble from iTunes just fine. I also don't understand what musically is talking about with it not scrobbling repeat plays, but then I don't use iSproggler.

Mine is working now. I had to remove everything from my iPod, reformat it to work with a Mac (since I hadn't reformated it since I used it with a PC a few years ago) and reloaded everything back on. Now it seems to work fine.

Mordy, Tuesday, 27 January 2009 22:38 (fifteen years ago) link

Good! I had a feeling it must be some kind of Mac vs. PC issue.

So how about deleting tracks from your library? I left Teenage Jesus & The Jerks on at work - on repeat. It's scrobbling all night, ugh. Can I delete the plays of tonight, or does it delete everything by the band?

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 28 January 2009 00:10 (fifteen years ago) link

You should apply for a job to be the publicist for Teenage Jesus & The Jerks

Are you now the #1 Teenage Jesus & The Jerks listener on last.fm??

Mordy, Wednesday, 28 January 2009 01:06 (fifteen years ago) link

you can delete plays one by one

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Wednesday, 28 January 2009 06:32 (fifteen years ago) link

Lol @ Mackro, application's in the mail...

Mordy, strangely, I'm not

Herman, how do I delete tracks one by one? I can only see the 'remove from library' thing, but that sounds like it removes a song entirely.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 28 January 2009 07:33 (fifteen years ago) link

http://www.last.fm/user/hetdronkenschip/tracks then click the x on the right side as you hover over it to delete a track

How do you delete from library?

My userpic looks like someone who's been listening to Gary Glitter all night long and isn't allowed to live next to a school... Maybe I should change it ?... Sorry about that, Tiny Tim !

Next week we are going to be making some changes to our music catalogue that we feel are important to communicate clearly. Unfortunately we are going to be removing a number of songs from our catalogue and adding country restrictions to some tracks, which may make them unplayable for you.

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 29 January 2009 13:56 (fifteen years ago) link

Additionally, some of the music that has been delivered to us had been delivered by mistake even though the artist did not want their music to be included in a streaming service. In order to respect the decisions of the artist we now have to remove those tracks. We have not lost any licenses and no labels have stopped working with us, this is just a matter of updating our catalogue to be in line with the agreements we actually have. In hindsight it would have been better to remove this in October when we launched publicly, we realize this now and apologize to you for not doing it sooner.

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 29 January 2009 13:56 (fifteen years ago) link

Yeh, we did this at length on the Spotify thread ;)

On the other hand, this is good for all those worrying about mis-scrobbled Lindstrom tracks (i.e. me):

has anyone noticed play counts go up on certain artists since they auto-corrected artist names? All of a sudden all my Lindstrom and Studio (previously scrobbled as "A Studio") have rocketed.
