Can anyone tell me how to meet some other Stevie Nicks fans on this bitch? Thanks.

Hahaha! Tell that one to fucking Pfunk. We never matched up with Replacements before. And I could swear I played Replacements at least once before, but Lastfm never matched us up for Replacements. LOL

I seem to have a correction problem. "Ante Up (Remix)" is auto-correcting to "Ante Up"

TACO BIZZLE (The Reverend), Sunday, 1 February 2009 11:39 (fifteen years ago) link

yeah i wish it could let us choose what to correct rather than having the either/or option. i dig the correction feature but not when they're wrongly correcting remixes and live versions.

Disco/Very (Roz), Sunday, 1 February 2009 14:15 (fifteen years ago) link

It's never distinguished live versions for me. :-/

Yay. Charts. My top ten artists:

1. Etta James (71)
2. Telefon Tel Aviv (69)
3. Moby (60)
4. Fever Ray (28)
5. Thursday (27)
6. Two Tongues (26)
7. Howlin' Wolf (23)
8. The Crystals (22)
8. The Ronettes (22)
10. Andrew Bird (17)

Etta James is from listening through her full Chess box set at least once. Moby was for some classwork I'm working on. Thursday + Two Tongues is cause I'm an emo fuxxer, and cause I'm interviewing Geoff Rickly tomorrow (Two Tongues is the Say Anything + Saves the Day collab project). Number 11, btw, is the Beatles with 16 listens.

Top 10 Albums is a little different:

1. Telefon Tel Aviv – Immolate Yourself (69)
2. Moby - Play (60)
3. Etta James- The Chess Box (58)
4. Fever Ray - Fever Ray (28)
5. Two Tongues – Two Tongues (26)
6. Various Artists – The Story of Jamaican Music (disc 2: Reggae Hit the Town 1968-1974) (25)
7. Howlin' Wolf – Howlin' Wolf/ Moanin' In The Moonlight (23)
8. The Ronettes – Back To Mono (1958-1969) (22)
9. The Crystals – Back To Mono (1958-1969) (22)
10. Thursday – Common Existence (20)

I wish the Back to Mono boxset was calculated as one album -- and all the Tougher than Tough albums as one disc too.

My top 10 tracks are all Telefon Tel Aviv, except for #10, which is a three-way tie between Telefon Tel Aviv, Two Tongues' "Crawl," and Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You."

It would be neat to isolate just the most recent artists on the ilX group list. Like a way to see what the most, newest music everyone is listening to is.

i think we all need to get used to this for the duration.

you can turn off the correcting on your settings page...i did and until they change the system i'm keeping it that way

miss precious perfect (musically), Tuesday, 3 February 2009 04:18 (fifteen years ago) link

you can suggest corrections now (ie suggest it back to what it was before, in some cases)

lex pretend, Tuesday, 3 February 2009 09:00 (fifteen years ago) link

yeah but if it's a song that has few listeners, there might not be enough people requesting changes to ping last.fm. that's my concern.

SHIT. Changing that setting has had the undesired effect of killing my free subscription stone dead. Bollocks.

SHIT. Changing that setting has had the undesired effect of killing my free subscription stone dead. Bollocks.

Heh, mine never ended either, even after they went to the trouble of emailing me to point it that it was ending and I wouldn't be able to see who had been on my profile. Haven't noticed any undesirable auto-corrections yet.

A further development of weird last.fm/computer listening behaviour - I was sat happily queuing and listening to stuff on Spotify the other day, and fancied some Pavement, and there wasn't any, so i had to do without Pavement that afternoon, despite there being a large selection of Pavement CDs just, y'know, there. Fuckup.
