what don't I understand about big Fleck?
If I understand music, I don't have to try to understand bela.
i don't feel most of his music.
The reason?? there is no pathos.

If you knew alot about music, you would respect Bel Canto vocalists.

nicolas Quemener from his humble band in france whips bela's ass as a musician. the reason he does, he is interested in Aesethics.
He is a percussionist, a vocalist, a flautist and he kicks Bela's ass as a guitarist...
and that means that Nicolas is much more talented then bela.
and nicolas doesn't give a damn about commerical music.

Oum Kalthoum was an Egyptian singer, generally considered the best Arab singer of the last century. I know you have a prejudice against singers who don't write their own material, but she did a lot of improvising in her singing; plus she was actively involved with her composers, forcing them to rewrite things over and over again. The songs others had written for her were considered so much her own that she was able to successfully sue one of those composers when he recorded a song he had originally written for her. (Unfortunately, this ended their collaboration, which had produced some nice results.)

Chinese music is pretty hard for me to connect with. Actually, that might be an ideal introduction to it for me, if she is collaborating with an instrumentalist doing Arabic music. (I think there's a Chinese classical musician on the new Kronos Quarter CD with the Indian singer Asha Bhosle, oddly enough.) I will look into the Liu Fan thing you mentioned. It's not that I haven't heard any Chinese music, but so far nothing has really clicked.

Liu Fang has a website.
she plays chinese instruments on a virtuoso level. I prefer Gu Zheng to pipa.
I love this instrument.
It is a zither and it is something like a harp but it has a more soulful and exotic tinge to it.
right now, I have to focus on moving..I will write down a few of your tips tomorrow.
I am about to move. I hate moving and packing and cleaning like this.

I am not sure what to do. I may give you one more chance.

I am NOT talking about KFC or celebrities or insulting them. I just want stay positive. and quiet...i told people my thoughts..now it is time to just play music and record my vocals in a more advanced way...
I want to record some very advanced bel canto pieces.
along with more modern music and fusion...and even rock if I find a good drummer..

I beg you to reconsider. It is not at all clear to a reader how "Sabrael" is to be pronounced--and therefore it is difficult to remember. The first name isn't so easy either. Is it Mah-ree-ESS-ah? Or Mar-EE-sah? Maybe people here could help you come up with the new name.
