this is a v. cool idea, so I've gone ahead and re-upped the P0rt@1 tracks under a slightly different guise (we'll see if this v. crude funny-nose-and-glasses gambit thwarts the sleepless rights managers at PL, or if YouTube p. much already has my DNA mapped and just scans my thoughts through the keyboard at this point).

i really liked the one bitchin bajas record that i heard, had quite a strong terry riley vibe to it iirc.

with implodes, i absolutely loved the first album and still play it a lot now. have given the new one a few spins so far and yeah, the sound is good, but aside from a couple of obvious tracks, none of the rest of the songs are really jumping out at me all that much at the moment. will stick with it though.

my new drone crush btw is golden retriever who i've been v slow in getting on board with, but they're a duo from portland who do really beautiful stretched-out analogue synth stuff. got a good soft sunny glow to them, it's like having an s.a.d. lamp in the room with you
