"I've got my giant hit 'Disco Duck' album"

The Butthurt Locker (cryptosicko), Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:33 (ten years ago) link

FHTE version is epic, even taking into account Chimes.

Gukbe, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:33 (ten years ago) link

Voted for "Straight To Hell," but didn't think it was gonna place at this point. Woo!

The Butthurt Locker (cryptosicko), Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:33 (ten years ago) link

I only have one of these last two pegged. I'm gonna slap myself when I see the other, aren't I?

EZ Snappin, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:34 (ten years ago) link

From the numbers, is Straight to Hell the most voted for song?

Three Word Username, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:36 (ten years ago) link

"Straight to Hell" is one of the best jukebox songs of all time. You can bring a bar to its knees with that one (plus it goes on for a while, so you get your credit's worth)

Evan R, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:36 (ten years ago) link

I know Train in Vain wasn't really hidden, which is why i used quote marks, but people used to call it a hidden track as it wasn't on the cover tracklist.
Bummed that Safe European Home wasn't top 3 at least.

Dr X O'Skeleton, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:37 (ten years ago) link

Every song in the top 5 is number 1.

Josh in Chicago, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:38 (ten years ago) link

Massive point jump to the top 2. Gonna post them together because it should be obvious by now.

Gukbe, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:39 (ten years ago) link

damn, that straight to hell embed is disabled already

Dr X O'Skeleton, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:39 (ten years ago) link

Groovy Times?

Josh in Chicago, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:40 (ten years ago) link

One of 'em is my #1. Hopefully it's also THE #1.

FOILED!

Ⓓⓡ. (Johnny Fever), Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:42 (ten years ago) link

Wow! Did not expect "Complete Control" to be up there! Great winner folks!

EZ Snappin, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:42 (ten years ago) link

Not that WMIHP isn't a worthy champ.

Ⓓⓡ. (Johnny Fever), Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:43 (ten years ago) link

My #s 5 and 9. I'm more than OK with these results.

The Butthurt Locker (cryptosicko), Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:43 (ten years ago) link

that's a couple of decent songs right there

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:43 (ten years ago) link

Seven #1s below three #1s--surprising.

clemenza, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:44 (ten years ago) link

"Complete Control" had by more the most #1 votes with 7, but there were 25 different songs that got a #1 vote out of 43 ballots.

Gukbe, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:44 (ten years ago) link

by far the most*

Gukbe, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:44 (ten years ago) link

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:44 (ten years ago) link

EZ Snappin, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:45 (ten years ago) link

I don't remember "Straight to Hell" being such a big deal at the time--maybe I'm wrong. Is it revered now primarily because of the sample?

clemenza, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:47 (ten years ago) link

Sorry, 26 different #1s. And EZ Snappin, it was number 77.

Gukbe, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:47 (ten years ago) link

By the early 90s, it was a song I always heard at parties.

Ⓓⓡ. (Johnny Fever), Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:47 (ten years ago) link

Straight to Hell, that is.

Ⓓⓡ. (Johnny Fever), Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:48 (ten years ago) link

Huge thanks for running this, Gukbe. Lots of fun.

EZ Snappin, Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:51 (ten years ago) link

My amazing challops for the day: I don't like Janie Jones very much.

Didn't vote in this cos lazy. Tommy Gun was too low, one of my favourite straight punk rock songs by them, Career Opportunities another good one but that did OK. Complete Control prob would've been my #1 I guess, criticisms of which are completely founded but I like it anyway

Just noise and screaming and no musical value at all. (Colonel Poo), Wednesday, 17 July 2013 21:51 (ten years ago) link
