Imagine if there was a Channel Four juxtaposition of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and The Only Way Is Essex, only instead of being a TV show it was a music festival. Well, V Festival would basically be the Channel Five version of that.

Personally I blame the highstreet for making rock ‘n’ roll imagery so readily available that anyone with pocket money can wear the right threads with a faux swagger and pretend to like music. ^ I think that's an interesting article in a way because, like, guy seems angry that people are getting drunk, rowdy and expressive, making sexual displays (this is what 'they're too fashionable' means?). He thinks they ought to be well-mannered and behave according to some standard of decorum. That for him is the essence of the authentic (non-'high street') music festival.
