Acclaimed Music Top 35 Songs from 1977 poll

Confession: I've never liked "Stayin' Alive." I've kind of come to terms with it over the years, and I no longer hate it as I once did, but it still isn't a song that I would ever listen to voluntarily.

Ditto on Tavares's "More Than a Woman." The Bee Gees' version is fine--it's them in the movie when the camera whirls in circles, right?--but Tavares make it even better.

Yay, after a look at the list and a gut-check, I went with "Marquee Moon". But really comparing some of these is like the unstoppable force meets the immovable object.

i'm surprised that "I Feel Love" didn't steamroll this poll.

Didn't vote, but would've gone with Trans Europe Express, which I remember being totally startling and weird when it came on the radio back then
