You realize, of course, that Jakob Dylan was a genetic experiment by Jann Wenner designed to entice the FHM editor, spooked by the prospect of working with photos that didn't include a vacuous pretty-boy male or strategically-obscured nude female, to join the magazine staff. Unfortunately, Wenner, distracted by the magnificence of Mick Jagger's solo record and contemplating a six-star review (only to give up when he realised that he couldn't count that high without removing one hand from his huge pile of coke), neglected to splice in the gene for musical talent. Upon discovering his error, he trashed his entire genetics lab in frustration, including his test tubes containing the bonzai John Lennons; it took 75 unpaid interns two weeks to mop up the mess, and they never even found the prototype recipe for the Bruce Springsteen DNA-cloned jerky snacks.
