I've still never seen Freaks.

I didn't even hear of it til years after I heard the song. It was almost disappointing to learn there was some context for Gabba Gabba beyond just Ramones weirdness.

For a long time, this was my favourite. Tom Carson's Stranded essay is great--think he singles out "Oh Oh I Love Her So."

Just an undeniable song. Pure joy.

And I don't think I even voted for it! But I should have.

Never a fan of "Cretin Hop." It signals kind of a change for me--doesn't have the power of the first album or the beauty of the second; it's just novelty. I'm the rare person who, "Sheena" aside, likes Rocket to Russia the least of the first four.

"Bonzo," on the other hand, is brilliant. I've posted the School of Rock clip two or three times elsewhere...

Everything about "Bonzo" makes me happy.

Coming from Joey, the way he uses the word "somehow" is perfect.

"Wart Hog" was my #7 vote. Thought it might slip in at the bottom. Not confident about its chances anymore.

Ah, there's something from Animal Boy - finally! Was expecting this one, of course, but still great. God, I was so shocked when I heard the bells in this, but it struck me immediately and was my first favorite song off of my first Ramones album. Joey sounds so sad.

The live version of Bonzo is epic. My favorite Joey vocal.
