pretty sure "THOT" stands for "those hos over there" which makes me even more unreasonably annoyed when it's used in the plural

eternally ;_; @ lyric websites getting it wrong

"leaves" stops me in my tracks every time
something about how his voice is suddenly there, right in your ear and unadorned after spending 10 tracks muffled and deep in the mix and switching itself up

leaves -> face the sun is so killer
i think we can all agree that "THOT" is a horrible phrase/word/acronym/whatever

^ too moral for the cut-thot

i've come around to "beautiful exit" still not crazy about the guitars but pretty much everything else is really good about that song especially the vocals

It's missing a desert scene but otherwise I feel this clip is kind of perfect for the song?

"what's normal anyway" has a pop punk outro
his band is straight up unbelievable
there were breaks but it felt like a continuous 90 minutes of music

lol yes sounds like a very good activity.
i really dig NWA but sometimes kurupt's verse kind of grates, it is a little corny maybe?
not super into his album as a whole tbh, def rank it below the first two

yea
― Spottie, Thursday, 13 August 2015 16:30 (nine years ago) link
ditto, but the highs are excellent
― Meta Forksclove-Liebeskind (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 13 August 2015 21:11 (nine years ago) link
the highs are nice but none come close to "coffee" imo, I think I'd feel way differently about this album if it didn't have "coffee"
― marcos, Thursday, 13 August 2015 23:42 (nine years ago) link
but yea there are a fair amount of tracks I skip
This was a disappointment in the end. I thought Coffee would be the conventional really good-but-nice middling track amongst other truly great things that stretched out his sound. As it turned out, it was the best song and the strongest hook. Offputting production and session muso rock guitar sounds didn't help.
― paulhw, Friday, 14 August 2015 00:01 (nine years ago) link
yea a lot of the rock touches on this just don't appeal to me

coffee is sublime though easily one my favorite tracks of the year
― marcos, Friday, 14 August 2015 00:08 (nine years ago) link
I'm having this weird relationship with the album right now where on one listen I'll really like it, and then on the next I'll find its spotty and trying.
"Coffee" still among the best tracks of the year, if not THE best.
