OMG I had a similar idea for a record, wish I posted it to "terrible ideas" to document it

I had sim idea but involving sampling bad bands doing soundcheck at the local place and then making something better out of it all.

For real. When it was first announced, it was supposed to be February 2015.

I had thought Simonetti, that thief asshole, was the reason they could be flaky as a label, but it seems like it might have been both of 'em!

knowing them it'll hit Soundcloud in its entirety about a year after it got a tracklist...so, December sometime?

Joshua Abrams- Magnetoception

Noteworthy also because Abrams' instrument is the Moroccan guimbri, and the recordings are urban improvisation/gnaoua.

I love that Abrams cover (his last album was even better). They're fabric works made by Lisa Alvarado, who plays the harmonium on those albums and the band often play with the pieces behind them.
