Not sure I would describe Song of Morgan as improvised, his stuff sounds pretty worked over to me.

the female vocalist (the one in the risque pose above) was at the st. louis show too. the rest of the band was some untrained female musicians who were kind of trying to figure it all out as they plucked and thrashed along, like an early slits. i loved it.

it was an interesting f.u. to the image of jandek as a Very Serious Musician in spite of his lack of conventional technical skill, and an f.u. to the expectation of all these Very Serious (and overwhelmingly male) avant luminaries he's had backing him up. the last words of the show, spoken by the woman vocalist, were "you've been had."

pretty great honestly - the music sounds like early Jandek but the Jandek sounds like Shadow of Leaves madman stuff

Really cool, though get bent I don't really see how this is more subverting Jandek's image than the original post in this thread? This all feels way more Jandek than a pro funk band

i think it's VERY jandek, but i also think a lot of people may not see it that way. they're both subversive though.
