I'm planning to do this Saturday.

My Body's Made of Crushed Little Evening Stars (Sund4r), Friday, 3 March 2017 19:07 (seven years ago) link

didn't spend enough time with kill them with kindness to vote for it but "for once in your life" is prob the best song on any knapsack or jealous sound record

didn't spend enough time with kill them with kindness to vote for it

:( you had two more days to listen!

ArchCarrier, Friday, 3 March 2017 20:04 (seven years ago) link

i just had to be done with it, i've got a deadline this weekend on a non-emo record

the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Friday, 3 March 2017 20:17 (seven years ago) link

Fair enough. Tbh I'm kinda glad the deadline didn't get extended because I'm developing symptoms of emo addiction :)

ArchCarrier, Friday, 3 March 2017 20:40 (seven years ago) link

xxps the Rival Schools record is fantastic and "Undercovers On" is a highlight, album coulda used one or two more moody mid-tempo numbers like that if anything

a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Friday, 3 March 2017 21:12 (seven years ago) link

yeah i went through the whole thing and picked a handful of keepers from it, really liked it

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Friday, 3 March 2017 21:30 (seven years ago) link

actually that reminds me I've still never heard Quicksand, time to remedy that

a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Friday, 3 March 2017 21:33 (seven years ago) link

I voted! Feeling very emotional now.

cajunsunday, Friday, 3 March 2017 23:00 (seven years ago) link

It's only right

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Friday, 3 March 2017 23:24 (seven years ago) link

Voted!

Marty8501 (Marty Innerlogic), Friday, 3 March 2017 23:32 (seven years ago) link

61 albums on my first-draft ballot...not too bad

a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Saturday, 4 March 2017 01:42 (seven years ago) link

aaaaand voted! that was some seriously agonizing ordering.

a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Saturday, 4 March 2017 02:05 (seven years ago) link

i ordered mine based on the emo game.

billstevejim, Saturday, 4 March 2017 05:29 (seven years ago) link

voted, way too much Pedro the Lion.

Bee OK, Saturday, 4 March 2017 06:13 (seven years ago) link

oh good you probably made up for how i, to my considerable surprise, included zero pedro the lion

the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Saturday, 4 March 2017 09:14 (seven years ago) link

Voted! The chance of hearing a life-changing album before the deadline is getting smaller and smaller and besides, I have to get some work done. Very excited for the rollout!

ArchCarrier, Saturday, 4 March 2017 09:53 (seven years ago) link

hi I don't think I will have time to vote in this poll but I just wanted to voice my approval of matthew good; avalanche & last of the ghetto astronauts are great as well as the records brad mentioned

ogmor, Saturday, 4 March 2017 10:34 (seven years ago) link

I'm going to vote in a bit, hungover and emotional as appropriate. I haven't heard as much stuff that's new to me as I would've liked and I think my ballot's going to be a bit weird but there we are.

Still don't know if I'm going to include things like Thursday and C&C that used to mean a lot to me but haven't listened to in many years...

ultros ultros-ghali, Saturday, 4 March 2017 11:49 (seven years ago) link

Rival Schools was the last album I added to my ballot, so thanks Spottie! Campaigning does help.

ArchCarrier, Saturday, 4 March 2017 11:57 (seven years ago) link

Sadly I've been wildly busy recently with trying to not be unemployed (which by all rights this should have been the perfect playlist for) and I haven't had time to listen to much. Still, I'll submit a quick ballot tomorrow and I'm very excited for rollout discoveries. Thanks so much for doing this, Mordy!

tangenttangent, Saturday, 4 March 2017 12:16 (seven years ago) link

Odysseus, Saturday, 4 March 2017 14:14 (seven years ago) link

Hi5 AC

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Saturday, 4 March 2017 16:10 (seven years ago) link

I've left this too late but Shiner were a great band, one of my nominations. Really strong post-hardcore with a solid rhythm section and some slightly experimental/math-rock leanings

Ugh, I don't know what I'm doing wrong but yt won't embed for me any more, sorry.

The songs were 'This Situationist' from 'Lula Divinia', And the title track from 'The Egg.' They're awesome, honest.

Oh yeah, City of Caterpillar's pretty good too.

ultros ultros-ghali, Saturday, 4 March 2017 16:51 (seven years ago) link

Shiner were great and not forgotten by me

Odysseus, Saturday, 4 March 2017 16:52 (seven years ago) link

Do you like Gospel?
This album is easily one of the best albums of the 00s.

Sorry I literally just sent my ballot man... City of Caterpillar made it though. Glad someone else likes Shiner too!

ultros ultros-ghali, Saturday, 4 March 2017 17:21 (seven years ago) link

There was quite a few shiner fans on here back in the day. Its probably how I heard of them.

Odysseus, Saturday, 4 March 2017 17:24 (seven years ago) link

ftr that Gospel album is loved by scott seward too. Whether youve voted or not you should play it. (as should anyone reading)

Odysseus, Saturday, 4 March 2017 17:26 (seven years ago) link

Screamo-prog! Fuck, this is great.

ultros ultros-ghali, Saturday, 4 March 2017 18:04 (seven years ago) link

Did you look under the couch?

Odysseus, Saturday, 4 March 2017 20:22 (seven years ago) link

Yeah, Gospel sound v good a few tracks in, sort of like what I hoped Mars Volta would sound like.

My Body's Made of Crushed Little Evening Stars (Sund4r), Saturday, 4 March 2017 20:29 (seven years ago) link

I wish Mars Volta had sounded like Crime In Choir. (ex atd-i dudes who quit early and not the guys who were in the shitty band Sparta who i saw twice supporting Qotsa)

Wouldve voted Crime in Choir if they had been nommed

Odysseus, Saturday, 4 March 2017 21:03 (seven years ago) link

I voted btw Mordy, did you get it?

Odysseus, Saturday, 4 March 2017 21:03 (seven years ago) link

Mordy, Saturday, 4 March 2017 21:37 (seven years ago) link

the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Saturday, 4 March 2017 21:48 (seven years ago) link

shite, i forgot to vote fir Saetia

Odysseus, Saturday, 4 March 2017 22:14 (seven years ago) link

Mordy, the op says Sunday but saw you say in the other thread you need it by end of day today?

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Saturday, 4 March 2017 23:19 (seven years ago) link

Apparently Sunday evening is enough time so that's when it'll close. Rollout on Monday. I'm thinking... 15 albums a day w/ 17 on the first day. wrap up on friday.

Mordy, Saturday, 4 March 2017 23:27 (seven years ago) link

Not a top 300 then?
