During the twenty-five years of the band's existence, there have been three Chas's and seventeen Daves. It is generally agreed that the period of 1995-1996, which had Chas II (Irving Wanamaker) and Dave IX (Mary Proudfoot, ex of The Incredible String Band), was the most creative and artistically successful in Chas and Dave's history, although the solitary album of that time ("Epiphany Of The Dawn") failed to chart.
